It's the inevitable!
Our best WR and our best DL…sweet. cash, cap, etc aside that’s who they are.
Says you.
Both are paid to be elite and neither are: good riddance.
:hammer:They've declined dramatically. Definitely not worth keeping & paying them outrageous coin.
They need to keep either Neal or LVE. LVE is the better run stopper.
but LVE is gone. He is gonna get paid.
would have been cheaper to pickup the 5th year on LVE.
LVE moves like a sloth. He's another one who needs to go. Jerry was smart not signing him to 5th year option.

I’m willing to bet that nobody will pay LVE over $9 million in salary for 2022.

The fifth-year option on the linebacker would have cost the Cowboys $9.145 million.

His recent play certainly doesn’t warrant it.

i think they are thin at LB depth, especially with Jaylon gone.

someone has to make those tackles.

LVE has the edge over Neal, being that he is a true ILB.

LVE put up good stats, even with splitting time with Neal.

he’s gonna get paid.

We’ll see. As I said, I don’t think he’s making $9 million in 2022.

As for replacements? I think this is a very good draft for it.

Please define "Elite"?

Just because we have a talented roster and spread the wealth around....doesn't mean D-Law and Cooper aren't doing what the team asks them to do.

A receiving core of lamb without coop and Gallup sounds very lackluster.

At what price? He is really good vs the run and just average vs the pass. You don’t pay a guy like that over 6-10 million per year.
His problem is, he ran 4.8 at 251. He’s 2.66 now. He’s a step slower than the elite rushers. He needs 90s era qbs to get sacks. Todays guys are too fast for 4.9 guys.

Dlaws days with us are numbered.

2 years left on his deal?

but I’d guess they go one more season.

RGreg is UFA and gone.

Adams also has rodgers throwing to him.
I think cooper is worth keeping, just needs more targets.
To me lamb is a bust, and is not worth the extension he will get soon.

catch percentage not a big difference, When you get more balls thrown your way you should have more catches. In Dallas you have to split those targets between several more targets.

So takes their place? A rookie for each? So then our offense and defense take significant hits in production then probably looking at no better than 9 wins. Mind as well just tank the season.

Restructure or trade them if a team is willing to give up the farm.

Cooper in my view a bit harder to replace but Cowboys do have some options at WR. DLaw would love to keep him but facts is defense survived and actually played pretty good during all the games he missed.
