I just watched Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

2 out of 10.

Utter trash. Brainless and insulting to the audience. The one thing it shows is that a bad studio can render even a Marvel property worthless.

I can't bring myself to watch it. I watched the first venom movie and thought it was stupid and terrible.

I have probably covered this already but just watched the movie again and liked it as much as I did the first time.

Green Street Hooligans

I had not heard of the movie before watching it the first time and really liked it. Decided to watch it again this weekend and found I liked just as much as I did originally.

Basic story is that Elijah Wood's character gets kicked out of Harvard a couple months shy of graduating in Journalism.
He decides to go to England to visit his sister who happened to marry an englishman and have a child.

After getting there one thing leads to another and he goes to a pub with her husbands brother.

After hanging out with the brother and his crew he basically starts joining the crew.

turns out to be a pretty good movie and with a sad and happy ending.

Would recommend this. I cannot stand to watch soccer, or football elsewhere, but this movie was really good.

Go with that feeling. This one makes the first one look highbrow by comparison. They don’t even TRY to have things make sense. It treats its audience like idiots who will just go along with anything.

And apparently some will.

I really like that movie too, kinda the same as I didn't know much about it the first time I watched it. I've seen it several times since then, might have to watch it again since it's been awhile.

i was so disappointed with the first Venom that i was very skeptical seeing the Carnage version ... even on home streaming

if it's the same movie studio, ( 20th Century Fox) ..s..along with of course the same casting ..Tom Hardy ..(Uugh) ..that's all the more reason why i am in no hurry at
all for Carnage.

Sony studio flat totally messed up the Venom series ... much like 20 Century Fox totally crudded the Fantastic Four series ....

The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
SCvofq4.png

5.50 of 10.00

Will not lie. Almost turned off the television at the :25 minute mark. Stayed with it until the :42 minute mark and content that I waited.

Have usually enjoyed Yahya Abdul-Mateen in other stuff. I almost loathe him playing Morpheus. Considered giving the movie a 4.85 with him and the actors who played Smith and...

The Merovingian ( )

...but loved Jada Pickett Smith's reprisal of Niobe--along with the addition of Jessica Henwick (whom I am a fan of). They were a positive counter for that trio in my mind.

The upgraded ships, the new human city, swarm and bots were nice additions that I enjoyed. Loved loved LOVED Priyanka Chopra Jonas "grown up" role.

I knew things had "changed" for the Wachowski Brothers in real life but was sidelined by Lana Wachowski's vision of her previous work. This should be the final chapter if this film is indicative of where the franchise is headed. That, and Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss sleepwalking through them like they did in this one.

i've watched half of it ...and i did went ahead and turned it off ... i thought about seeing it at the movie theaters ... but somehow i was skeptic since it was such a long ago
time away from the last Matrix film. (Resolutions) ...to which i was terribly disappointed with Matrix . and i can see why viewing audiences were not interested to watch it at the theaters ...... they had to use Reeves' John Wick hair style look to try to draw audiences ... but from the box office numbers it did not work at all..

Haven't seen the 2nd half but i do love that one of my heart-throbs is featured in it ... Iron Fist's Collen Wing ..Jessica Yu-Li Henwick was in this movie .. but even with her
i can't get with this quirky mess of a Matrix film in how it starts out ...even the rebooted Morphius vs Neo dojo fight seems way over the top over done

maybe it will finally glue together at some point - maybe i'll try re-visit it before HBO Max takes it off it's circulation, ..

My immense respect for Marvel’s head honcho Kevin Feige and company continues to grow. While they create one qualify film and show after another, other studios show how to screw things up.

What follows is a spoiler for Spider-Man -No Way Home:

Now I understand why there was a bit of symbiote left behind during the Tom Hardy credits scene. Because that’s all that Feige and Marvel proper want. They want nothing to do with this mess of a franchise, they just want a piece of the character to potentially ‘fix it’.

I haven't seen either of the Venom movies, but from all I've heard, I hope you're right.

They did Tom Hardy a grave disservice in the first film. I will wait until I actually sit down and watch the sequel before saying the same but I am almost certain I will make the same assessment.

Got around to The Eternals.

6 out of 10 for me.

1. It does set up new storylines. New characters to build one that seem interesting
2. The question with Thanos was answered but at same time...

So, in regards to the Thanos dilemma, you would of thought Arisham would of gotten involved/some of the more devote Eternals would of tried to stop him too as reducing half the population would reset the timeline for Celestials all over the universe.

Was kind of bummed that Thena was a nonfactor till the end. They are super immortals but you can stab one with a knife and slow her down or bang a rock on ones head to knock them out. But when they are fighting 6000 years ago they can get yeeted vs a rock and bounce right up.

I think I mentioned that too, about Eternals.
I would think Thanos would have been a top priority. I don't think it was his plan to cut the universe's population temporarily either. I'm sure he wanted that to be the most life that would ever live, which would keep the Celestials dormant forever.[Spoiler/]

A low budget horror film made in 2019... "The Deeper You Dig".

Solid movie with a good story and unexpected ending.

Not a slasher flick. More like "The Shining".

7/10.

Sorcerer and the White Snake. Jet LI in a strange movie in which he's a demon hunting monk. Very stylized, as you might imagine. No English dubbing, just captions. 6/10

Seconded, I stumbled into this one during the Netflix disc days. It's really good.
