I hope the NFL doesn’t make this an even bigger joke by naming an MVP like they used to.
I still remember Mel Renfro getting the ProBowl mvp in 1971 for returning 2 punts for TDs.
They did!!! Offensive MVP was J. Herbert, and Defensive MVP was Maxx Crosby. Herbert got booed since they were playing in LV and the Chargers are the Raiders rivals.

Not sure why they even do a probowl anymore. Raitings have been way down over the years, popularity contest, people opt out way to much now and etc.

Being a "probowler" nowadays means absolutely nothing to most.

When did the Pro Bowl become touch football? I haven’t watched it for years, but I checked it out and they were literally playing touch.
Even the announcers were "perplexed" by the non-contact stuff going on. Guess they weren't informed that the players decided they weren't going to tackle anybody....well, except for Micah...he made a couple of tackles despite the players "unwritten" rule of no tackling. LOL

The NFL Pro Bowl, the most embarrassing spectacle in sports today!

On one hand, I think the NFL should get rid of it because it makes a mockery of the sport.

On the other, over 50,000 people attended it and tickets started at $89. Why, I don't know.

…….the girls from birth are going to hate losing the power lifting event…..well actually most of the events except the non athletic ones. Curling, synchronized swimming, archery and that event where they twirl the flags in a circle should still be safe……progress can be really fun to watch in real time

Yeah, last time I watched before yesterday, they weren't tackling hard, but they were tackling. That was disgusting.

Someone told me there were giving away tickets. Unsubstantiated, but it wouldn't surprise me.

When Mike Jenkins made the probowl, he was the 3rd alternate.

Because the NFL is the most popular American sports there is ..and eliminating their own version of all star games among the major three big American sports league just doesn't sit well.

But it's sport is so brute physical contact natured vs NBA and MLB without running greater risk of injury njury that they have to resort to " flag " football. :(
