I’d argue Awuzie wasn’t playing that bad here.

he wasn’t, he was just an average player and the fan base expects pro bowl talent at every position.

was he worth resigning, not really. but is he playing that much better than his 2019 season, which was a good year? Not really

is he better than Anthony Brown, sure. And admittedly they make about the same amount but the difference between our season ending when it did wasn’t Awuzie vs Brown. Good for Awuzie and good luck

Give me a break

Listen I like to hate my own team I root for just like the rest of you sad sacks, but can we stop pretending mediocre players like Awuzie were playing bad for any other reason than they sucked here?
If I remember right he spent most of his last season with us out with injuries.

As an owner Jerry Jones is probably deserving of his "Hall of Fame" status. The Stadium, the Star and all he has done to help he league financially are outstanding. As a GM he is the terrible and deserving of "Hall of Shame" status. It is bad right now IMO. The Cowboy coaching has to be a nervous mess currently. MM has to be looking over his shoulder at the DC and OC and afraid of his job. The roster has so many freaking issues. The offense has Lamb and Martin and perhaps a couple of other guys and a boat load of question marks. Same for the defense with Parsons and Diggs and a few more but at least as many question marks and issues.

A good GM would be in his office digging, working long hours on the roster and player personnel. The current roster, the available FA that might fit here and the draft should have his full attention. That is more than enough for any GM. But Jones seems to spend all his time looking to be in the media....radio, television and the press.

I am concerned about the upcoming season. Really concerned. I hope I am wrong.

Don't be upset with the messenger. The Cowboys have been soft for decades, so you know it's the Jones culture causing the issues. Cole Beasely said the same, but hate did not allow some to listen.

All they can do is draft some tough guys in the trenches of both lines, and place some hard-nosed blue collar players around these so-called "stars" on the team.

The team is a country club of overrated talent and Jerry is their top salesman.
Jerry got the fans believing this is an SB-caliber squad and he is a great GM and a draft guru.....
There's one born every day and we have tons of them in Cowboy land.....
Wait and see by May they will be posting Superbowl trips and Dak MVP galore.
Nothing changing but the weather!!!

I do not fault him for that as that is the reason it is #1 in Forbes and TV ratings. It is more of its own reality TV show than a football team. And some players like that. And some would not do well with the bright lights.

Everything he has done is about the "show". Winning another ring is secondary to the "show".

Booger is the owner least likely to show increased profit or revenue from winning a SB. He is already where the rest of them want to be.

The Dallas Cowboys are simply the sports phenom of our time. And they are in the perfect city for glitz and glamour as Dallas is a lot more how it looks than it really is.
What do you mean that last statement?

Exactly... to hell with Chido and this silly take. He needed to be reminded that football could be played without all the lights.... happy for their success but miss me with the nonesense Chido.

Here is analogy.. You walk into a very nice hotel and immediately most of us treat it with respect and our own our best behavior, but if we walk into a dive bar, most of us are taking shots and even knocking over beer bottles without batting an eye.... The Cowboys are the hotel! and the Dive bar is the Bengals... Let me ask you this- Where would you rather go to let your hair down? And where would you be the loosest?

Yea.Awuzie wasn’t bad here. Prob just not worth second contract . Nothing wrong with that. Someone always has to go. No reason to bash him.

He's playing the Rams that are in one of the glitziest new stadiums in one of the glitziest cities in the world.

WFT doesn't even having working bench warmers but they've sucked for years too. So it's not like crappy practice situations help make a good team
