His body of work as a HC is not HOF worthy imo, 120-109 record lmao
That's right in line with Ditka's win loss record and he's in there. I agree there should be some in that are better. A few I can think of that I would put in... George Seifert, Marty Schottenheimer, Dan Reeves, Holmgren, Chuck Knox should be in and aren't. Jim Mora should be in just for his press conferences.

Ahhhh. More Cowboys bias from the hall.

Only 8 teams have more Hall of Famers than the Cowboys. Seven of them existed decades before the Cowboys, so have a lot more players to choose from.

But don't let that get in the way. The League conspires to keep the Cowboys from winning in the 21st century, too.

Pretty shocked. He plays one of the 3 premier postions, made first or 2nd team all-pro 7x, and the all-decade team, and this was a weak HOF class

If he didn't get in because they wanted to put someone like Zack Thomas in (5x first team all-pro and all-decade team) then yeah maybe I could understand.

Not putting Zack or Ware in and putting in Tony Boselli and Cliff Branch is embarassing

I think the fact that we have so many in sort of creates the bias. Writers want to balance the hall. There's no good reason for Ware to not be a first ballot.

Ditka is in for his playing more so than his coaching career. I don't think he was much of a coach, but when he retired as player, he ranked #1 in receptions for a tight end

Weird that they didn't put Ware in because they wanted to put in players that where backlogged (Branch, Boselli, Young, Butler) but then they completely skip Zach Thomas who has better stats and better accolades then all 4 of them.......

I don't understand the logic of making this a backlogged heavy selection and then skipping Thomas whose the most obvious of the backlogged players

Good because he's not a first-ballot hall-of-famer.

He didn't elevate anything here but his stats.

Another thing, Dick Vermeil does not belong in the HOF, that cry baby is so overrated it's not even funny.
120-109 regular season record, lol, might as well put Garrett in there, he's just another Jeff Fisher

I swear some of you people don't even watch football. He got 2 franchises to the big dance....everywhere he went....his teams improved.

HOFer in my book.....

There aren’t a whole lot of coaches who went to the hall of fame based on their regular season records. You’re omitting a whole lot of context there

That’s absolutely horse hockey. Woodson not making HOF is meh, but Ware should have been first ballot. Period.

No joke. Was reading that thread and didn't see this news. I wasn't even thinking about it because I thought it was a foregone conclusion.
