They seem to be good when the media counts them out. And seem to underperform when they’re the favorite. Been that way for so long. Seems to me they can’t deal with the pressure. Need a QB that has Parsons type mentality.

- We Cowboys still suspect front office and management issues ... stuck on the Money Ball approach. i could understand not going on a Rams plan of all out contract/trade spending spree, but
no middle ground key vet addition.[/QUOTE]

This is the issue, they either were big spenders or sign low cost players, no middle ground. It's very difficult to only build through the draft, you need to use fa and the trade market as well. You better hit on the majority of our picks and have coaches who can develop players. Almost have to be perfect with this strategy.

Exactly.....and they dont hit on as many picks as they want to tell themselves.

They end up starting players like Xavier Woods and patting themselves on the back for getting a 6th round starter....meanwhile that player is below average and part of why they can't get over the hump.

They are flat out scared of FA because they stink at it and don't want to be exposed. Remember the Nate Livings/MacKenzie Bernadeau extravaganza?

It also doesn't help that they usually have little cap room due to overpaying their own players who mail it in thereafter.

We have seen this team perform at their talent level when playing ahead on the scoreboard, but really shutdown when they get so called punched in the face. We have heard the players state they weren't physical enough after losses.

There is no reason that this team should be down 23-7 in a home playoff game that they are favored in nor get totally blown out by an average Bronco team at home. There is no reason why this team continues to hurt themselves with committing so many pre and post snaps penalties. This has happened with different coaching regimes.

The common denominator is Jerry Jones. Head Coaches here have little power at all over their teams. Players know Jerry is the boss and they only need to answer to him. Jerry doesn't treat the players like workers, but rather family members and it is hard for him to separate business from personal relationships.

Our only hope is that he finally allows a coach to become the central individual who holds the power over the players. I don't think MM is that guy, perhaps Sean Payton will be given the power. What I do know is, this cycle is going to continue to happen, no matter the talent on this roster.
This team will only go as far as the later round QBs take them. You get a 6-5 1st round talented QB with a gun for an arm and youll have something you havent had since their SB days. The QB is so important because his actions in battle can raise other players ability. That is leadership! Dak Prescott will never lead this team to an NFC championship.

Well let see we had three prove it games this season. KC, Zona, and SF. In all three the defense showed up but the offense couldn’t do anything. Sounds like the offensive staff have a lot of work to do….

Yes, I think mentally.
My big problem is exactly what Awusie said the other day. Most Dallas players get to the point of feeling entitled - " I play for Dallas, I've made it !"
The dreaded "Business Decisions".
Can't have that. The "we dem boys" culture. I'm sure an old school coach like McCathy is trying to change that, but it's been years now, years.
I've already started to see it with, Diggs.
He's the next one in line that worries me.
He's a great, natural hands Ayer- but no discipline. Doesn't care if he wafts on the ball as long as he makes a few interceptions. Now him and his son are celebrities in Dallas, how they gonna reign him in and make him a better corner ?
1000 yards of passing yards given up !!!!!
It's god****** worry.

They are undoubtedly soft. Hopefully Parsons can be vaccinated against the disease and help change the culture.

No, this Cowboys fanbase is what's mentally soft.

Hey, both can be true. Ain't nothing softer than, "but, but, those mean ol' baddies Goodell, Mara, and the refs won't let us win." Sound as bad as the players whining this season.
