You put Stafford on Dallas, I guarantee they wouldn’t have lost to 49ers.He can actually read the D and see the field, and would have already let it rip, where Dak would have been sacked.

14 penalties for over 120 in yards...careful with those guarantees...also that whole 169 yards rushing against usually doesnt spell win guarantee either. Does Stafford change that...guaranteed?

Everyone is “capable” with a stacked team. That’s the point.

Stafford couldn’t win a single playoff game on a lacking roster. He only reached the playoffs 3 times in those 12 years.

Dak dealt with a complete garbage starting RB and the most penalized team in the league this year.

Jimmy Garoppolo got to a Super Bowl and almost won it. Let’s pretend Dak couldn’t win big with the 49ers roster.

I don’t agree. You can’t seriously be comparing the Cowboys to the 2010’s Lions. Jason Garrett would have been the best coach Stafford ever had. Having an issue at RB? Detroit hasn’t had a running game since Barry Sanders retired. Pro Bowl offensive Linemen? Must be nice.

Stafford retiring Brady, beating your 9ers team that beat Dak, crushing the cardinals that just snuffed out the Cowboys in Week 17 with an immaculate playoff run thus far is not the same thing as what happened in 2019 with Garoppolo.

My argument wasn’t Dak couldn’t do it too, but I was responding to your particular point about being surprised how well Stafford has performed in the playoffs. This was a long time coming.

If the Cowboys traded for Matt Stafford instead of paying Dak, you might be here too

You’re not wrong about penalties. But, even w/ penalties and rush yards against, they still had a chance.I’m not talking about the last drive either.Dallas had chances, but Dak just couldn’t come thru in the clutch.

I hear you and not saying your wrong but, everyone who just thinks just the QB needs to be changed is kinda fooling themselves to me. That game was ugly and really was not as close as the score showed...Jimmy G is the only reason we didnt get run out the stadium. 1-20, 3-15+ thats no way to make a living in the NFL for any QB....

The easiest way to say it is this in that game replace Jimmy G with Dak and Dak with Stafford and I'm betting the niners run the Cowboys out the stadium and quick with everything else staying the same.

........Dak just couldn’t come thru in the clutch.

He did come thru in the clutch against NE. He won that game for the Cowboys on the road in OT when the pressure was on to execute and it was on him to do so.

Unfortunately. Seems that was the high point. We all saw what happened after that.

Dak killed blitzes...Now if you want to say when teams went full zone and rushed 4 he did not makes the reads fast enough to beat the zone or missed open guys...you would be more correct.

what this season showed us is that Dak is easily confused, can’t read defences, is inaccurate, has poor mechanics and has a tough time adjusting

My view is this with this core group of players and the ones before during our "Jerry's way" era....Once they fail several times they see the writing on the wall, even if they dont want to admit it, they start losing thier belief about what this is about. Some even get comfortable with it....Again Dak included, when the chips are down its like they start expecting failure and know its ok because the owner is ok with it...Human nature wins out 99% of the time and thats why its time to turn this roster over and hope we get lucky before it happens to the next group.

He aint the only one who had trouble adjusting to full zone but everyone needs a point of blame and thats fine. Replace the QB keep everything the same and chances are really high you'll be right back here saying the same thing because it runs deeper than one player. Again we have 26 years of Data to back this up.

Since I have started watching pro football, here's some of the quarterbacks that have gotten to the Super Bowl (not necessarily won, just got there):

Stan Humphries, Chris Chandler, Steve McNair, Trent Dilfer, Kerry Collins, Brad Johnson, Jake Delhomme, Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck, Eli Manning, Rex Grossman, Joe Flacco, Jimmy Garoppolo, Cam Newton, Jared Goff, and Nick Foles.

I don't care how much you hate Dak, if you don't think he's better than any of the QB's I listed you just don't know football. The fact Prescott is a better QB than them means the Cowboys only need a moderately better supporting cast and coaching staff than they currently have to get to the big game.

Dak is also better than any QB factually available to the Cowboys for the foreseeable future, so it's up to the coaches and front office to build a team around him that can get it done. There's 16 examples above of lesser QB's with teams that did just that.

We should trade him to the 49er's or Rams? So he can win a SB ? or any other contender?

Why does the "garbage" RB not get to have excuses?

If you can clearly SEE that Zeke isn't as talented as Pollard, why can't you SEE Dak isn't on the level of other QBs like Mahomes and Rodgers?

Mind boggling..

By your logic, let's keep Zeke at RB we can win a SB with Zeke, Akers is in the SB! Anyone can do it!!

It’s adorable that you’re so confident in a QB who 1) was swept by the 49ers in the regular season, despite the STACKED Rams roster, and 2) was 0-3 in the playoffs through his first 12 NFL seasons.

Thanks for playing. Learn football.
