Did you think there were bad calls/non-calls in the Super Bowl?

I disagree w/ Collinsworth and Michaels. Dude was holding Kupp while the ball was in the air. Textbook PI.

Yep, the whole world knew where the ball was going and the Bengals were smart to grab and hold Kupp. They just couldn't stop it......... which is ironically the entire offensive philosophy of Jason Garret! :lmao:

Ok my man, go ahead run down just how an NFL game is rigged. And who exactly is running the show here. Come on man you gotta do better than,,,,,I can't say for 100% they are rigged.

So rig a game for me, show me how it's done.

Gonna tell right now, you couldn't rig a little league game without somebody blowing it....ok?
The refs get their orders on a reel to reel tape deck, you know like on mission impossible. The find out how the game is to be called, then the
tape self destructs of course so their is no evidence!!
All orders come from the bet master, no one knows who he is!
R. Goodell also is on the tape, as sometimes he wants certain teams to win, you know good for league image.

Not every game is rigged, just some, and it doesnt always work, sometimes a team will just overcome ref calls and win anyway. Thats ok.

Refs put the whistles away until the last drive... NFL wanted Rams to win so refs made sure they had every opportunity to do so
That's why they gave the Bengals a free Higgens touchdown and overturned a Rams TD on the last drive.
Oh, ok...I get it now.

Overall….decent reffed game by two teams who play pretty clean ball anyway..

But The worst by far was the possible game changing TD bomb bythe Bengals when Higgens pulled Ramsey’s facemask so hard it turned his head around while the ball was in the air.
That was unreal.

Couldn't have happened to a better guy. After that flop he pulled on Gallup, I see this guy get away with so many foul calls, it's unreal. Jalen is cool with me, but I wasn't mad that he suffered from a terrible no call in his case.

If the officiating bad, then it's just bad. If it's all fixed, then it is and you must determine whether you're going to continue to follow the game. These are just constants. What I hated about the Zebra job in the Sb was the INCONSISTENCY. You keep the flags in your pockets for 58 minutes THEN, when the game outcome is to be decided .. you throw 3 in a row on the goal line.

That's disappointing.

I don't think it's rigged, however, I wouldn't take influenced off the table. Reason I say that is because they are classified as sports entertainment. It's perfectly legal for them to do anything they want. How? Refs.

I don't get....influenced...???

Maybe they classify themselves as entertainment because some loony fans would and have sued the league because their team lost and blame the league for some crooked CONSPIRACY! as to why that happened instead of accepting the loss. Sound familiar? Lol. The entertainment label helps successfully fend off that nonsense they'd need to be dragged into court to defend.

This is like saying a guy takes out a life insurance on his wife and kids because he plans to kill them someday to collect the money. Not everything is nefarious 24/7. Paranoia.

I've barely thought about this Super Bowl. Might be the most forgettable Super Bowl I've ever watched. Just not a good game at all.

Dude, c'mon. You can't be serious? Focus on holding on run plays. Tennessee VS KC.

Or.....If they prefer a certain team, let them play all game long, focus on PI late in the 4th. Of course influenced is not staged, rigged, or fixed, just leaning towards. It would not be hard to do with the way these refs call games.

You really believe these refs do anything other than the best job they can? All these guys have other jobs, all of them are high character people.

Not going to buy it.

Speaking of missed facemask calls on a passing play, would you say this no-call was the result of "preferring a certain team" or "leaning towards" the Cowboys seeing as this helped win that game this season?

Well, I don't know about "high character people" because who can really say. But even less so can you assume all of them are up to no good when there's a bad or no-call. It's just an excuse to keep in the back pocket for those that can't accept a loss that people try to back up by saying, "well, it's possible." So are the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot.

You must have been rooting for the Bengals. That call was blatantly obvious. I would've called D Holding, but a penalty it was, and beyond any doubt.
If that was defensive holding , ramseys jersey hold which was no call (after the huge completion to chase to get to the RZ). Should have been a call, that prevented a TD and gave 3 points to bengals earlier in the game .

it is an issue , when at the decisive moments they call those ticky tack calls to give Rams definite advantage to come out on top. Thats what gives the refrreeing a bad name!

An individual sure can be influenced, in Tim Donaghy it also cost him time in prison. When talking league wide no I don't think it is the case in any of the major sports

I was having a bit of fun...

But the point stands. I am not saying there is or isn't. It most certainly is POSSIBLE.

My FEELING about it....is (for example) Jerry and GODell publicly feuded...and Zeke found himself at home for 6 critical weeks in 2017, against his own female counsel. Jerry had a great run in 2016, poised for another solid run in 2017. GODell put the kibosh on the that oh what a coincidence. Jerry's PRIZE...shamed and sitting.

So why wouldn't that attitude permeate up and down the NFL organization...either through discreet edict or just general corporate atmosphere? I am sure the suspension was a prominent subject in the offices and meetings. And water cooler.

It doesn't HAVE to be a direct order in a memo from GODell to the line judge. It also doesn't (necessarily) have a tie in with Vegas. Although that *is* big business follow the money!

If GODell gives favor to a certain team....why wouldn't everyone else downward follow the lead? IF GODelll gives disfavor....follow the lead.

I am not saying this is what happened/happens. But I know human nature.
