You just have to remember that the Dallas Cowboys are eternal. Jerry is a finite blip. The Cowboys were here long before Jerry arrived and they will be here long after he is gone. In 100 years, he'll just be known as "the idiot",

Neither Jerry Jones nor none of his DNA brood will make me quit. I fell in love with this franchise long before his family took ownership.

All the frustration and anger makes perfect sense. CowboysZone is a good place to vent. However, I will be <expletive> if I ever allowed some hyper-rich Arkansas narcissist run me off.

I’m just not as interested in the product anymore, and I definitely watched less this past season. I won’t be following other teams more to make up any difference. When the squad has such a poor chance of making noise in January and February the interest level falls predictably. Just a natural law. They are going to need to win a quality Super Bowl me up much. I don’t care so much that the squad remembers to wear the correct jerseys on game day…

This is a big part of why I stay away these days. I’m largely done with this franchise. Barely care anymore.

The Cowboys collapsed yet again, and before they’ve even sorted through the rubble, the offseason is cascading further into a dysfunctional and cultural abyss.

Redundant failures now complicated by creepy voyeurism just smell of Jerry and his decrepit shadow, which now represents a longer history than the classy years that preceded him. We’ve now dealt with his drivel for 33 years, and it’s only getting worse with no Jimmy to be considered again to save it. Too much Jerry in bathroom stalls instead of the background.

The NFL isn’t about to investigate their love-‘em, hate-‘em ratings king, but Congress might, and either way the the Cowboys will be the butt of another gauntlet of humiliation. Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, and Bill Cosby have nothing on this crap show. The Star is what an asylum look like at night when the light are off.

Then there’s the football side, which once again glorified September statistics and pretended to be a team that mattered. In the end, outside of the worst division in football, the Cowboys proved to be a wannabe’s wannabe, farting and falling down in the last half of the season when the real games were played.

The 49ers called the Cowboys wussies, then went out and skulled them with a laugh. Called their damn shot right in Dallas’ back yard. Predictable and sad.

Dak Prescott proved he’s a nobody yet again, totally lost after the Denver game. He’s 6 years in now, and it’s not going to get any better than what you see. That’s it. He gets all the money, though he’s a glorified Ryan Tannehill. Enjoy those 4-TD games against 4-win teams, I guess.

Zeke’s tread is somewhere along the highway, and the receivers might as well be window mannequins because they aren’t in Dak’s line of sight. The offensive line continues to struggle and take the blame even though the other team knows they only have to account for about 15 yards of the field.

Defensively, they pulled some tricks, but against legit teams, it looked all the same. Micah and his fighting band of overrated misfits.

It’s not changing until somebody takes the team away from Jerry. We know that, so I guess we root for Congress to find far more than what we even know so far. Ain't much of a chance of that happening, but I'm grasping at straws here.

LOL, the Cowboys are suffering bad PR because of their PR guy. Doesn’t that just sum the Cowboys up right there?

This. Is. What. They. Are.

Which. Is. Why. I. Don't. Care. Anymore.
Sounds like you were over caring in the first place, after all this is just entertainment.

These latest revelations do make me think it is time for Jerry to sell the team though. But If not, I'll survive.

Cheers:thumbup:

This place is good for people to vent....agree or disagree with Erod, if him voicing his frustration here helps him then I support it.

We have all had to deal with this bs for for too long....erods tactic is not the one I would take personally but as long as we have all suffered I have to be supportive to whatever anyone needs to do inorder to feel better.

It's the least I can do as a fellow suffering fan
Share the pain.
It's our new motto

Feels like the end of the Landry years to me. An old and declining team, probably getting worse as far as the eye can see.

Does this mean you won't be around to speculate on roster moves? That's where the Fandom really shines.

Thanks for checking in.

The support is needed.

Congress aint gonna be looking. I'm sure Jerry has the right people paid off along the chain.

Jerry Jones is only dumb when it comes to running a football team....if on the field success is the criteria.

Agree…….Congress? That’s a laugh. Those jokers have had a slush fund for decade to pay off victims from young pages and beyond…..no telling how much Teddy and company cost us

Jerry has made life horrible for McCarthy and Quinn. Both now have to watch out for the others back knife. While Payton gleefully looks on. Another wasted season by yours truly. This guy loves to bring Kaos to his organization. Pathetic ego driven maniac.

I hear you. I couldn't blame you at all for walking away. Unfortunately, the Cowboys are my heroin and I just can't walk away. Besides, I would be going against my vow to stay a Cowboys fan forever in recognition and memory of the days when we got far more than our fair share of success.

I guess it's true that things have a tendency to average out over a long period of time.

People like to say that at least Jerry should get credit for hiring Jimmy Johnson. Newsflash, Tex Schram was going to try and hire Jimmy if he was pressed, by the owner, Bum Bright, to fire Landry. In any case, there were a half dozen teams after Jimmy and Jimmy only chose Dallas after assurances from Jerry Jones that Jimmy could run things his way.

Jerry swore he would never give that type of power again to a HC but it was the only successful period during Jerry's ownership. Still, Jerry refuses to relate the two.

This isn't about winning championships as far as Jerry is concerned despite what he says. It's a person's actions, not their words that reveal a person's true nature

For Jerry, this is about personal recognition and credit for the achievements of those within the franchise organization. That's the sickest part of all. As far as Jerry is concerned he deserves credit for anything accomplished by an employee. It's just as if he did it all himself.

people care but it seems from the ownership that they care more for there product line then winning the whole taco, so if you get into and care jerry come's out and says where you can go because i own the team and then sticks his chest out by the way i'm the general manager and that's where the problem is, Jimmy Johnson was in his way to proclaiming his greatness and 26 years later guess he's turned into al davis and everybody knows what happened there in oakland. even moving that team hasn't solved anything so jerry departs this world without a super bowl his lil'boy steven takes over and of course were back to square 1 so you can care but don't go over board it will only make you bitter when they bomb year after year

Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, and Bill Cosby have nothing on this crap show.

Imagine actually believing this

My goodness, in a sane world calling the Cowboys franchise worse than serial rapists and pedophiles would be a ban worthy offense.

One additional thing. Semantics maybe.

You DO care.....because you fully know what's going on.

You've just successfully adjusted your expectations to zero.

Can't say I'm not jealous of your ability to do that....but you still care.
That is a good way to summarize my feelings. I care but my expectations are very low. And my expectations are even lower after this week. Now I don't expect them to treat people with respect. I care but I expect basically nothing. I expect poor management, poor coaching, poor play, entitlement, and now exploitation of power and women.
