Back in the day we used to play one called "Paydirt", it was originally put out by Sports Illustrated. It's no longer available, but there are a couple of people that still produce the data sheets for the game. We used to get the new sheets every season and had our own league, playoffs etc, it was actually pretty cool. It was played on a football field board with data sheets for offense, defense and special teams for each team. The player picks his team and uses the data sheets to call each play and roll the dice to determine the result of each play. The gameplay was pretty easy, but the data was derived from the stats and tendencies of each team.
While it's not officially produced any more, there are still a couple people still making the game. I haven't played it in a couple decades but it was pretty fun and game play felt pretty accurate for each team.
