This would only be possible if Jerry and Stephen shut their mouths and only publicly refer to Amari as a key asset to the franchise.

However— they have already publicly questioned his value and hinted at how the “salary cap” is a “real thing”— so they have undermined themselves in terms of their trade positioning before any negotiations even begin lol…

It's NOT the 4th overall per se.....the Jets still gets Cowboys 1st (24th) and player

But forget the Jets for a second.....the ideal another team willing to trade down, can we use Coop to move up.

If Cooper had a better season, maybe they nibble to help Wilson out but I still dont see it happening. I hope so, but will see

This franchise is run by Bozos.

Interesting......hadn't thought of using Coop to move up in the draft but with this draft lacking many blue-chippers, I suppose it possible. What BB is saying is neither team loses a pick, Cowboys get 4th pick and Jets 24th.

I assume they are talking about the 10th pick, as its not enough to get top 5.

I would even do this very trade to move up to top 15. maybe cleveland or baltimore and go after the center from Iowa

Why in the world would the Jets make that trade anyway? The 10th pick is worth about double what the Cowboys pick is and Cooper does not have the value of a late 1st early 2nd round pick right now. You are going to be happy if you can get a 4th for him because everyone knows he is a very likely cut candidate and will be very soon.

I'm afraid you are right but it could be they already shopped him and had no takers. Even still, things change so they should be playing their cards tight.

I would fall off my chair if the Jets did something that stupid. They're going to pick up our WRs bloated contract and give us their 4th overall pick? That would be one of the dumbest moves in NFL history.

No one is going to trade for a $20mil base salary for a WR.
