Would you offer Will Hernandez a modest contract

I know he was high on our list coming out. In fact, if I remember correctly he spent time training with our OL before getting drafted. 2021 was not his best year, but part was moving from LG to RG. Spent his entire career at LG then had CV19 never got his job back ( see article below ). Noticed his PFF stats (below) 2018, 2019 and 2020 all at LG. Probably wouldn't take more than $3-4M to sign him.

Not high on players who look to fight. There's a difference in showing a mean streak during plays and one after plays.

He's an El Paso boy so I'm always going to low-key root for him.
I won't be mad at a nice deal to bring him in for competition against whoever @Dak_Attack_09 thinks the flavor of the month is.

I could actually see the Cowboys using him as a reclamation project. Good call, he is the type of player that I could see McClay and company taking a chance on.

He never progressed after his rookie year. The best thing I can see about him is his durability

If we had a Hispanic player can you imagine the jersey sales?

The Giants would have to cut or release ? In the last year of contract and supposedly added muscle.
Did find the below line interesting I mean haw bad has the NFCE been.

(in the season finale, with the Giants (at 5-10) still alive to win the NFC East, Hernandez was a spectator, receiving the first time in his career he didn’t play, )

For those who haven't bothered to look at his stats....... as you can see he actually played, damn well in fact, at LG, but struggled at RG. PFF doesn't even list him in their top 150 free agents but Connor Williams is their 3rd best G with a projected contract of $6.6M. So signing him will be dirt cheap......$3-4M would be my guess.

2018 ( his rookie year ) at LG played 1027 snaps, 2 penalties and 5 sacks allowed

2019 at LG, played 1068 snaps, had 4 penalties and 2 sacks allowed

2020 at LG, 525 snaps, had 1 penalty and 1 sack allowed ( tested pos for CV and missed 6-7 games ) In fact, lost his starting job at LG.

2021 at RG, 1049 snaps, 8 penalties, 7 sacks allowed.

I'd take a fat boy who's drunk from a nascar show over Connor Williams. Bum needs to be gone. In fact, I'd rather have Jaylon Smith on the roster than Connor.

Why not take a chance on him . He at least seems mean as dirt and looks like he hates the cowboys as much as many of our fans..

Certainly can't be worse than either one of those Connors we have on the team.

Any chance this guy could play center That's what we could really use

Stephen wouldn't pay Will Hernandez what he'd want in a contract. He won't sign cheaply.
That's not our FO's way of doing business.:omg: They'll likely sign a tier three vet FA first.
