Seems like a stretch. No team is giving up a 1st for a guy who can't stay on the field. Tyron was not good when he returned to the lineup, either. My bet is he would retire if traded.

He's practically semi-retired right now......part time player. Always waiting for that injury that will keep him out around half the season or more.

So who do you replace him with?
That person definitely not on the roster now

I am sure it wouldn't be hard to replace with another average player, misses half the season...and for a lot less money. TSmith is not what he used to be even when healthy. I am sure he will be in the HOF.....but those dominant days are over.

The 49ers got Trent Williams from the WFT for a 5th and a 3rd. No one is going to pay a 1st for Tyron Smith without some other compensation.

Maybe Baltimore would swap firsts with Dallas for Tyron Smith, a 3rd, 4th, and 5th round pick. But why would Dallas make that trade?

Junk made up by reporters/media types during the off season. Years ago baseball writers would "float" false trade stories during the Winter. They were notorious for it. Some included Yogi for Ted Williams; Mantle for Mays; Spahn for Ernie Banks......

Bored reporters with nothing better to do.

When he came back at the end of the season he was not a good player, still not fully healthy. A guy who misses 6 games of a 17 game season should not make the pro bowl. I think the world of the Smith and know he will be a 1st ballot HOFer, but the Cowboys are definitely in need of investing in the LT spot and moving on.

You can't assume injury. Thats not how player value is determined if player if the injury is not career threatening. Tyron had an ankle injury. That is not a chronic recurring injury.
He was the best LT in the NFL.

He's 31. Trent Williams is currently the best LT in the NFL and he's 33. Pretty sure Tyron is far from done.

Bengals will probably be the team that pays Connor Williams. They love Cowboys free agent

So you automatically getting a starting LT? There's a reason LT are hard to find.
If there’s a franchise l t , yes I take him. I use the other pick for defense or a guard depending on if we keep cooper. The biggest needs are guard and w r. Really we need a higher quality q b but we’re stuck so d t and guard.

Great idea but 4 years late. Nobody is giving up a first round pick for him. He is damaged goods and not even close to what he was 5 years ago.
He doesn't like football. Anymore.

I have no clue as to how he shows up every TC.......Oh yeah. He's "working" on the side lines with the trainers and feeling better than he did the previous season. In fact......better than he's ever felt.

Sorry....I've soured on this dude.

Fish looking for click baits.....

It's basically how outrageous I can get.

Would u pay the 14th pick for a ayer you called often injured.

Obviously he is targettings the ooohs and aaahs from cowboys fandom

He also picked a team with an all pro LT currently in year 2 of a 5 year contract who is not going to get cut. He basically picked one of the worst possible teams for that trade. He could have named the Packers or 49ers and it would have made just as much sense.
