Absolutely overpaid - but what was the alternative? Dak had Jerry over a barrel with the multiple franchise tags and not working out an extension in previous years. I hate it just as much as everyone else - except a certain few who think Dak does no wrong...but him and his agent took full advantage of the position Dallas was in. There just wasn't much out there to work with.

Free Agents:

Fitzmagic - probably your best stop gap, but injury bug got him
Dalton - been there, done that
Newton - washed
Winston - maybe, but would have been a tough sell

Draft:

Mac Jones - equals no Parsons - not sure if Mac would be the same without Bill
Trask - nope
Mond - Unk
Mills - nope

We would have been sitting hear this season looking again at the draft - in a pretty weak QB draft class, or trying to overpay for Mariota or Bridgewater.

Hey we all just need to get used to commercials after every play to pay for all these mega salaries. I swear sometimes there are 5 minutes worth of ads after every change of possession.

Merch, parking, food & beverage, and ticket prices will all go up some %... in part, to go to Dak.

Cowturd needs to make up his mind. One minute he likes Dak the next minute Dak is average. Dak earned his money by taking a segment on every talking heads show.

He said in the video: "Dak is a good franchise Quarterback. He's not a great one."

Before we hear the tired "That's what a franchise QB gets paid. That's how the market works" blah blah blah from the usual's....

We all get it. We know how the market works. Dak is not a franchise level QB skill wise is the problem we have with the contract.

We don't care how much Dak was paid. We care that his play on the field does not reflect it.
The gospel truth .

I hate to say this and I debated quite a while before posting, but he's spot on. The Cowboys made Dak a very wealthy man and the Cowboys chances to win against top teams are diminishing. Damn, I hope I'm wrong.

It is what it is as we paid for caviar and got a couple of hot dogs.
What is sad is no matter who you put around him we will still fail when facing playoff-caliber defenses, therefore, going nowhere.
Sad days in Big D and there are about to go into nightmare mode as the NFC East will rebound in the near future and more players will be cap casualties.:(
