Not fully sold on Randy I'm sorry, good story though
Not even a good story really, just a guy that couldn't stop breaking the rules for family generation changing money and would not have a career right now if the NFL didn't rightfully change those rules.

He's still incredibly immature as was evident with him laughing off his bone head penalties with the season on the line.

Signing him to a big contract would be a mistake, so I fully expect them to sign him to a big contract.

This is another backs against the wall scenario as we have nothing else if we release Dlaw. Golston and Basham will put us back in the Campo days folks…..

which is why i wouldn't be surprised if DLaw wins his bluff...this year.
they draft a DE in the 1st or maybe 2nd...then next yr...release DLaw.

A part of me thinks he will try to work with the FO and sign a cap friendly deal. Maybe he has a little loyalty to the team for helping him through everything.

However, the more realistic part of me is far too aware of history and knows this is Gregory's one chance at a big deal. He's going to squeeze as much money as possible out of this one and only long term deal. I think he's gone.

We will attempt to draft a starting DE, and we will look for another Robert Quinn, while sliding Parsons to end often.

At the right price I’d sign him
But it wouldn’t be what he’s likely to get
He is much more disruptive than his stats show
But he has baggage and is not someone I’d pay big money to
He will get 12 mil or more on the market and I wouldn’t pay that, maybe half that

Is Randy Gregory going to leave us?? I'm happy either way, give me your thoughts
It means it was cheaper to tag 86 than 94 and that they hope or ate confident they will work something out with Gregory

I like Gregory, but he does some stupid things on the field. He doesn't have the talent to make up for his bone head plays.

A guy with 16.5 sacks over 7 years is the guy that would change that?

7 years is a bit misleading since he’s been unavailable most of the games in 7 years
If you look at actual games played he’s avg about 5 sacks per season
Still not really impressive but he’s gonna get offers I think that will shock people because he is a pretty disruptive player
He just isn’t worth what I think he can get if he goes for the money

I'm ready to move on......this was his year to prove he was ready to join the elite club. He failed, big-time.........Remember last season he complained about losing playing time to Aldon Smith? Well, this was his first as full-time starter, in a contract year and he still couldn't get it done. Let him walk......

I think THEY think he will sign a home discount kind of deal since they worked with him where many would have went on after his problems.

Now whether that happens or not is another story.
