It wouldn't shock me to see the Jags try to trade for him. His contract is not guaranteed any more. They have a ton of cap room and need help for their young QB. They have 2 3rd round picks in 2022. So a 3rd and 6th for Cooper and they can re work his deal if they wanted. It would be a smart move on their part.
Exactly. Good organizations will understand they can reset the cap implications & put an immediate upgrade on the field. Its not rocket surgery.

The best way to assure of getting a player is to trade for them. If Cooper is released he’ll be up for grabs and can pick where he goes.

As I see it, if teams want Amari, they would have to assess whether they can get Amari cheaper on the open market than in a trade. I’d say Amari is probably on the cusp of not being worth his contract.

Will a team take on that contract AND give up a pick to do it. IDK. But I have my doubts.

Does Mike Williams getting 20 mil a year affect how teams are looking at trading for Cooper? Cooper would cost the new team 19 mil

Cooper leaves the Cowboys and ends up winning a Super Bowl with his new team. Yup. LoL
