Didn’t we talk about this last offseason too?
Because this fan base is desperate for ONE damn game changing player in free agency. JUST ONE. When the last time we spent money was on Brandon Carr, you become frustrated.

Instead of one or two good players…:

Stephen will sign 10 garbage players
It's not either/or. The team will have to sign more than 1-2 players whether they sign 1-2 good players or not. The question is out of the 10 players will 1-2 be high quality ones.

Yes, but why even bother getting worked up over Wagner?

There’s a better chance we extend Luke Gifford because “we’re really excited about his development.”

I'm screaming lol lol lol lol lol lol lol they're in love with every player it's sickening how we know what they're going to say lol they never let us down

We're a team that can't afford to pay the contract that Wagner is likely to get.
We'll require more great players than that to reach the top echelons.

Teams that normally contend for Super Bowls are replete with great players.

No it's not completely dumb. But when things seem to be working out they have got to do a better job going for it and yes you pay a higher price but you are also more likely to win a playoff game. Definitely need more guys out playing their contracts for sure.
We have more needs than picks, let alone high enough a pick to expect a starter
We have to hit on 3-4 really impactful FA this year
Our track record on FA isn’t good
I get we can’t but 3-4 top FA
But if the plan is let Gregory and Dlaw walk then we have to find a guy to replace one of them and that’s gonna be huge money
But you have no choice to me
If you keep one of them then you might be ok
But we need DE,DT,S,TE,G,WR,LB
In no particular order, that’s a lot of need and only 2-4 are likely to be filled this year with a draft pick

Quite simple....

There's one set of rules for spending on players THEY drafted, and another for everyone else.

This is the thing that scares me. We let them both walk, we are in that same boat from the past of "Where does the pressure come from?" Then we're "hoping" things work with a FA or guys can "step up." Even with Parsons, if I'm an offense, I double him all day and make someone else beat me.

I agree
Micah is better picking his spits rather than just playing one side at DE all day
We have to keep one of them or replace them with a real player who demands attention
And that’s not likely to be there at 24

There are always lots of needs and i'm not against waiting then signing guys who have a better chance of living up to or surpassing their contract. They just need to re evaluate mid season and if we are looking at another 10+ wins then add a piece or 2 but if were looking for 6 win ish then maybe trade someone for more picks. They just build in the offseason and stand pat regardless too often. Could a LB have helped us win a playoff game? would i give up a 7th for wagner to help us for a few games, absolutely.

I know it won't happen but a guy can dream lol. Would be a great mentor for our young LBs

I know it won't happen either but him and Parsons. Dude that would be awesome. I guess I can dream about it till he signs somewhere else. But Parsons and Wagner, man that would be fun.

I don't understand how the Rams are able to sign Odell Beckham, Von Miller and all that other talent, but we can't get one decent FA. Maybe if they pooled that money they would normally spend on mid tier talent, they could actually get a star.
