I AM A DALLAS COWBOYS FAN. The Dallas Cowboys have standards that must be met from the front office to the players on the field. Those standards have not been met in 26 years and counting. Football leadership does not start in the owner's box or in the GM's office. It starts and ends with the Head Coach. Then football leadership can be carried by the team leaders starting at QB. The Dallas Cowboys had this with Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson, and Bill Parcells. Football leadership did not start with Clint Murchinson or Tex Schramm. The Dallas Cowboys were built on 4 football principles Head Coach, Quarterback, run to win, and defense wins championships.

Regarding the Arlington Jonesboys that have pretended to be the Dallas Cowboys the last 26 years..."I can not play with him, can not win with him, can not coach with him, can't do it...we are not a charity. We can not give them the game (penalties)..I want winners."

Where was this speech from the Big Blue M&M the Arlington Jonesboys have on the sideline posing as the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

We as fans, are rooting for a very very dysfunctional organization. From top to bottom, the management and administration members are inadequate.

Why we fans still hope for or expect things to turn around and that they’ll return to glory days of old, I’m not sure.

It’s become glaringly obvious that short of the Jones family being forced to sell the team, the Cowboys will never be the on-the-field powerhouse that they once were

Jerry kept an inept head coach for 10 years and was on record saying he was a HC in training. As the HC of the biggest sports team on earth.

What else needs to be said?

when fans stop going to games, stop buying merchandise, then Jones will listen. he is a master and I mean a master in creating hype and generating hope amongs the fans and get them to come back just one more time, because they/we hope this is the year.

but there are too many fans for the merchandise sales to suffer or too many who just want to go to the games, so the insanity of Jerry and his accountant son will never stop.....

we are the Raiders under David, we are the cubs. get used to suffering and chaos.

You know Singletary got fired from a High School job here in Dallas. A smaller school because he could give good speeches and jump people's butt but couldn't win a football game even at that level. Give me someone who knows how to win more than a motivational speaker

Some act as if they had their hearts ripped out last year. Every year brings a new season, so you'll be back for more regardless. This organization just needs the brains, heart, and courage to turn things around.

when I stop going to the games, then I may as well not watch period. I watch the Cowboys because I am a fan, not of Jerry but of the team. Ultimately I can find other things to do, but as a diehard fan of football and a diehard fan of the Cowboys. I will continue to watch.

What does it matter that Singletary was not a winning football coach in the NFL. He holds himself and his players accountable. That has not been with the Cowboys excluding Landry, Johnson, and Parcells.

Parcells took Quincy Carter to the playoffs, and was a Romo fumble snap from the NFC Championship game (Bears had no QB for Parcells defense). He left a team that was wasted by trips to Cabo, TO, and no Head Coach (see Son of a Bum and Red Head Dead Head). Keep drinking that Jerry Jones Kool Aid about Parcells.

There is nothing rebuffing my fundamental points: Football leadership does not start in the owner's box or in the GM's office. It starts and ends with the Head Coach. Then football leadership can be carried by the team leaders starting at QB. The Dallas Cowboys had this with Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson, and Bill Parcells. The reason why I used the Singletary video is that he hit on everything that coaches and players on the Arlington Jonesboys aka Dallas Cowboys lacked in the season and especially in that playoff game...they did not hit anyone in the mouth, they gave the game away like a charity with penalties, and they did not execute offensively or defensively from the start to the end of the game.

No help no hope no more Dallas Cowboys...until these fundamental principles and changes are in place.

It's hard for coaches today to coach players that are in it for the money first and foremost. That's just the reality. Now you not only have to look for talent, but whether or not the player is very competitive or not. That mindset is necessary. That's probably why the Eagles made that QB shoot some hoops.

LOL!!!! Imagine if a coach told you that you would do a better job for the team if you went inside, took a shower, came out and watched the game? WoW!

That worked for Vernon Davis. Who after Singletary undressed him, got his attitude and perspective in place with the team, became a Pro Bowl TE, and made the play of the playoffs getting his team to NFC Championship game breaking records for TE performances in the playoffs, and the 49ers eventually got to a Super Bowl with Davis having +100yd game performance.

Singletary and Harbaugh as Head Coach prototypes prove my point about how football leadership starts and ends at the Head Coach. Then players can lead. Jerry Jones has led this team for 26 years and all you got is the Arlington Jonesboys.

I hear you, but this wont ever happen, jones boys may never hire another strong HC and let him control players, draft etc.
I agree thats what is needed.
However other teams without that have had success, look at cin this last year.

I think mainly you just need a smart HC fairly tough or know how to handle the players.and he needs to be over the other coaches.

Jerry likes to hire his own OC lol which the HC has not control over!
that is a big mistake right there.

you can get into other nfl teams, I follow other teams which vary .
As for the cowboys, they are still fun to watch win or lose, and if they lose it doesnt bother me at all, I can just laugh at them.

I've said it here on numerous occasions. But like anything else, it's just an opinion. You already said it. Our success coincides with good coaches. That 95 team was Jimmy's. That 2007 team was Bill's. Parcells brought us back from the dumpster. It's a shame he didn't stay longer. Same with Jimmy.

We'll know more about BigMac after this season. But so far I'm not impressed.
