Will Dak be better, worse, or stay the same this coming year?

In 2020 (the year he got hurt) he literally was on record pace... until he got hurt. Then again last year he played well, so there is no evidence to say he will get worst this year with a full camp.

I couldn't care less about his record pace. And I certainly don't believe he's going to get worse. He's going to be who he has been for the last 6 years. No better or worse.

Yeah I don't feel Dak is going to regress to the point that he'll be benched for Rush. I mean I guess it's possible but highly unlikely. I also don't feel he will be Mahomes or Rodgers. Dak is an adequate to above adequate bus driver. If given the right bus he, and the rest of the team, can win a super bowl. If the bus breaks down Dak can't put the team on his shoulders and create wins. It's not completely hopeless with Dak, unless Dak can't read defenses then we're really screwed. But if the Jones can provide a quality team around him then I feel we could do something. The part that scares me is Dak played pretty poorly the last 9 games of the season. Some of those wins the defense pulled it out for us and saved the offense. So I'm rooting for Dak because if he fails then the Cowboys fail but I'm not believing in Dak right now cuz of the last 9 games of the season.

I will say that Dak is not the reason we lost in the playoffs. That was a complete team fail starting from Jerry Jones, through the coaches and in the players. Everyone was bad in that game besides maybe Anger. Dak played poorly too but he had no help from his coaches, line, receivers, RBs and defense. So IMO the playoff embarrassment was a total team effort. I don't put that one on Dak

It's not all on Dak. The Cowboys have had a pattern since 2019 when Moore took over as OC. I've gone into it extensively in the past, and don't feel like revisiting it again here. But it's not a Dak issue, it's a pattern the team has had. It's not just Dak.

Homer? Really? Yall call anyone that doesnt think negatively towards Dak a homer. Its tired and has no effect.

If you wanna be realistic, I'm sure you know Dak hasn't been the problem the last 28 years. Or you gonna ignore that too?
What’s your point? You’re upset that I’m not a Dak sympathizer, so you decide to randomly bring up the last 28 years? If you want to debate the current qb, cool, but stop deflecting to irrelevant topics.

But if you insist on me addressing it, your statement that “Dak hasn’t been the problem the last 28 years” does absolutely nothing to disprove that Dak has been part of the current problem. So you proved my point for me. Thank you.

Offensive coordinators are hamstrung by Dak's limitations. The two-deep zone is mandarin Chinese to him.

Consistency isn't Dak's strong suit, but let's spare him the pessimism and hope for the best. 2021 shouldn't be too tough to beat.

Dak is part of the problem and he has to get better at reading defenses and consistency. But he's definitely not as bad as yall are implying.

This O-line is bad and looking like it will get worst before it gets better. So I guess yall will just have to blame Dak until we win a SB, then it will be the team won and not him lol...

No one is upset or a homer, or a sympathizer, or whatever name yall consistently use... yall just as bad as the people yall complain about.

Dak shined earlier this year after being babied/limited during camp, but he will be getting a full camp this incoming year. I think he will take the next step to becoming a better QB. If you don't agree tell us why.

How do you think he will do? Whatever you think, say why please.

It's not even camp. In the past, Dak has taken QB coaches in the offseason. The best thing to say about Dak is that he is diligent in improving his craft, and has been successful at it. Aikman said you either have accuracy or you don't. Dak didn't have it on deep balls. Big hole in his game early on. But he developed it.

I wish he'd get better at short balls, especially swing passes. Just doesn't place them well to let the receiver catch it in stride. Always been a hole in his game, and it would seem so easy to fix.

Dak worked on his game every off-season and showed improvement I feel he will continue to do this having no injury to rehab.

That said a lot of his performance depends on what we do with the offensive line.

No quarterback looks good constantly trying to overcome pre-snap penalties in other words fix this underachieving piece of spit offensive line get a real center for starters.

Dak abandoned using his legs to move the chains last year and Imo this really hurt his game. Dak absolutely needs to run when it's there and safe.

In short if we fix the O line Zeke rebounds from his injury and Dak works hard in the off-season on his game. We should have decent football to watch up to the point where we lose in the first round of the playoffs

I think he will look more like the first half of last year. Get the O-Line sorted out. Everyone will heal up and be ready. Give him a run game.

How many games did he win last year?

Did he suck in the first half of the season?
Is you for real..?

I wouldn't care if they went 17-0 & Dak was league MVP. If they lose in the 1st round of the playoffs, it doesn't matter, & the season was a failure. Success is measured in late January, & February.

Statistically yes maybe, but in reality by the eye test, no freakin’ way.

I don't mind statistics. They have their place. It just bothers me when they're used without giving any consideration to how they came to be. Stats are not a stand alone source.

A perfect example is when people used to bring up 27PPG in the 2019 season as a stand alone source to paint in incorrect picture of the Cowboys offense. That's lazy. You have to actually look to see why they went 8-8 despite that average.

Had the Cowboys actually scored 27PPG, same average, they would have been around 12-4, not 8-8. Same average, different results. That stat alone is almost meaningless in determining how good the offense actually is.

Dak will be mostly the same but the offensive stats will be worse.
