Yes you can you can designate up to two players you guys need to start figuring out how things work

Designating players before June 1st only frees you from obligation of giving them guarantees that would have happened before June 1st. You still do not get that cap relief until June.

Sounds like you need to start figuring out how things work.

They guy was massively overated

When you can't get anything for a "great" rt...on a solid contract for a "great" RT ...this should tell you everything
Yep, Dak and the entire offense played better while he was suspended. If he's so great how did we play better without him and why isn't anyone jumping on him. I lost all love for Collins after 2020 and then being suspended for 2021 for bribing an NFL drug tester. Doesn't get much dummer than that.

Ya can't like.....tell the damn world what your position is then expect to have any leverage.

It's unreal that they just can't shut their mouths.
That's part of the mental illness of narcissism. They need att6the way normal people need air. Them being quiet would be like us trying to breathe underwater.

I agree but I saw something that 6 million of his money is guaranteed on March 22nd so maybe they want to make a decision by then. Idk I’m just trying to think it through cause there’s no way teams aren’t making offers. Even if it’s a late round pick
He has no guarantees anymore. His suspension wiped those out.

You can project the offseason. They won't sign anyone of note in FA.

So it basically comes down to having a home run draft where they have to find 2-3 high level starters at key positions. How likely is that?

Here's the reality. The cap bit them in the butt. Bad contracts to guys like Elliott bit them in the butt. So now it's time to band aid a roster, put on a smile and try to sell your fans on a much improved 2022 Cowboys team.
They will sign free agents. Likely will get a starter or two out of it as well.

They will play draft picks, never have a problem with that.

I just want to see who and what it is we end up losing and getting.

No.

I’m the type of fan who realizes it’s a game I do absolutely zero for. It’s fun.

I don’t get upset or let it ruin my day every time something happens I don’t want

Actually he goes through these temple tantrums every offseason..........get stuck on one player or issue and won't let it go. He'll calm down in a few months (LOL).

Sign your draft picks with that money, lets you spend the rest of it now. Not that they will, but it does open it up.

Exactly, some people forget money is needed to sign draft picks and also possible training camp cuts from other teams. So a lot of things happen post June 1st.... even these two geniuses recognize this, i hope anyway.

I can't imagine a group of adults thinking that Terence Steele is a starting RT in the league.

Are those people worse than the ones who thought Carson Wentz was the next Tom Brady?

Pretty amazing. Short of one of the greatest drafts in Cowboys history, this team will be less talented in 2022 than 2021.
Does it matter? We didn't win with all that so called talent. It's all about discipline and chemistry.

Save them 10 million for what though? What’s out there in June?

the draft picks. They don’t have to sign them until then.
Can use that allotted money for other players.
Also there will be some vet players released later on. Or can roll the cap saving to 2023.

Oh they will sign people. They have to in order to fill out their roster. They likely will be bargain bin bottom of the barrel types because they simply don't have the cap space to sign anyone else. They'll hope their draft results in a few immediate difference making players.

It's basically the same thing we've seen for a quarter century.

One day Jerry and Stephen will realize there's this thing called the internet and maybe you shouldn't tell people you'll release a player if you can't trade them.
The internet isn't the lone device of self-destruction - Jones and Jones do it on tv & radio outlets locally-regionally- nationally.
