As Jaylon Smith proved, "tackles" is a meaningless stat by itself b/c it doesn't tell you where the tackles were made. Was it at the LOS or 10 yards downfield b/c he got beat?

Ah contraire. The Jax D was stacked when Jack first got there. 5th in the NFL in 2018. Jax then tore it down, but offhand I'd say Jack had the better talented D until 19.
That’s only 1 year, not overall.

But how many of MJ's tackles were 10 yards down the field???? AND can MJ swipe???
show me go back and go over all of both of the tackles stitch together a YouTube video

but twice the FF and twice the sacks bro..those are bigger proof MJ was not better..sorry charlie those are impact plays in 14 less games. Come on stop the nonsense.

Oh well, using your logic I guess Dak is better than most elite QBs since he has better stats. The fact that Jaylon looked like a CFL player in most games shouldn't deter you from the fact he was great at tackling after letting the runner run into him 7 yards beyond the line scrimmage.
he doesn't have better stats than the truly elite qbs, but he has top 10 stats most are all top 7 with top 7 pay makes total sense..NEXT

JS and MJ both dont need to be here got it.BYE

I understand. But drafting Jaylin was absolutely ridiculous, at least high in the 2nd round. You go in knowing it will be a year before you find out if he can play and at what level. And for how long. It would be one thing if it was a broken leg or a “standard” mcl, but that wasn’t the case with Jaylon. Myles’ situation was better, but not enough for me to draft him, especially after Gregory the year before. I’m ok taking an occasional gamble, but not back-to-back and both high picks.
both are gone and we shouldn't be coveting him as signing, done with this outrageous thread. fickle fans! short memory's and blind statements.

JS stats are close if not better than jack

Career for both

JS 74 games 33AV 330 solo tackles 10 sacks 6 FF

MJ 88 gmaes 41AV 335 Solo tackles 6.5 sacks 2 FF

hmm this is why fans aren't GMs or good judges of payers all torpedoing JS and now in love wioth bringing in Jack..

JS had more sacks and fumbles same tackles in 14 less games. how can that be.. you watch every Jags game and know somehow MJ is better? doesn't look like it.,.

I don't like either.

I would have to assume he'd be "Myles" better than LVE.

Didn't watch Jags much last year so maybe his play has slipped but I'd definitely take a look.

for the right price, I'd take him.

he's younger than Wagner. Was leading tackler at JAX.

He'll use interest in Dallas to push another team to sign him to the deal he wants.

:) Sorry Blueblood, my response was more poking fun at Jaylon. I have no dog in the who is better fight. I just know from watching Jaylon, he was not good the last 2 years.

Everyone knows I wanted Dallas to draft Mack Attack instead of one legged Jaylon Smith at LB in the 2nd round of the draft.

So much for Myles Jack degenerative knee diagnosis. Not drafting Jack is part of the long list of Jerry Dumbo GM Jones personnel moves. Pass on a LB that can play that may have a bad knee and draft a LB that can not play for 2 years. Jack has played in more Conference Championship games than any Dallas Cowboy over the last 26 years.

How many Pro Bowls and Conference Championship games Myles Jack needs to play in before that so called chronic knee explodes?...oh never mind this is Myles Jack and not Jaylon Smith.

Broaddus is on the radio and not in an NFL front office for a reason.

I agree... BUT.

He's making 108 tackles in year 6 of his career while Jaylon Smith in year 5 (6 minus 1yr) had 38 with 3 teams.

Depth is always a great thing to have (at the right price). If he's cheap, I'd take him
