Everyone was ready to give RG 12.5/yr but Derek Barnett has similar numbers and wasn't even the starter

Dorance's plane to the islands is about to take off. Any questions, please talk to his agent.

Fair assessment, Armstrong had only one less sack than Gregory while playing nowhere near as many snaps.

Re-signing him won't make us forget losing out on the bigger names but Armstrong could just be hitting his stride.

3 years, $24 million for DA

The pass rusher market has come and gone.

They need to get a couple of quality LBs so they have more flexibility with Parsons than focus on fixing the offensive line.

Yeah, I know we are going to sign and start Dorance Armstrong, but I can at least dream a little bit longer until it happens. These are the remaining DE options from the CBS Top 50 Free Agents that are still on the open market and Stephen might even be able to bully them into a lesser deal......

#26. Jadaveon Clowney, 29 Years Old
#32. Derek Barnett, 25 Years Old
#33. Melvin Ingram, 32 Years Old

Any Takers?
They are going off the shelf fast !!!!!!!!!!!!

I’d take Barnett in a heartbeat. I wanted him in the draft.

He's never come close to meeting his draft potential. And he's kind of an idiot on the field, picking up numerous dumb and ill advised penalties.

There's a reason Philly wants nothing to do with him.

I might be in the minority..

But Dorance Armstrong on a reasonable deal wouldn’t be a bad idea.

When he was drafted from Kansas, he was considered young and raw. It was understood that he’d have to develop and he has every year.. albeit not as fast as most would like. He started a few games with 507 defensive snaps on the season(13 games) and finished with more sacks than Lawrence (272 snaps on the season) and one less than Gregory (437 snaps) and wasn’t considered a detriment in the run game. He is still young (24yo) and will be entering his prime for a DE. I’m not saying he would wow folks, but if he continues to show improvement.. I could see 8-10sacks, which would be solid opposite of Lawrence. Honestly, his play reminds me a lot of Lawrence when he was younger. If Lawrence isn’t your idea of a DE, I will understand why you don’t agree with this post.

That said, signing Armstrong would ensure a solid/experienced DE with potential. Dal could also sign a veteran pass rush specialist like Ingram, etc.. and add a rookie within the first couple days of the draft to push him. Yeah it’s not flashy, but with Parsons and possibly a young gun rookie LBer or DE, it’s not a terrible idea under Quinn’s scheme.

Luckily the league implements a vet min or stephen would be trying to sign guys with a 25% off voucher from the merch store (not valid for items currently on sale, some restrictions apply, see associate for details).

……too many holes to fill with the draft unless we find a bunch of starters in the 5th round…..not mathematically impossible:)
And a pass rusher is probably second hardest position to get behind QB
Odds of getting a really solid DE at 24 is slim, after that it’s a miracle
