I guess that Adams wanted out of Green Bay after Rodgers was signed back. Like he really wanted to desperately get out and that team was the Superbowl favorite last year. Yikes.
He wanted to get paid. Packers weren’t going to give him that contract. Plus Green Bay isn’t exactly paradise for a sports superstar. Small Midwest town.

The surprise is that there are still fans with an ounce of faith in the front office.

The same team having the ability to basically steal Amari Cooper and give 46 million a year to a washed-up punk Texans QB that has girl problems.

The Cowboys have spent money and where has it gotten them? Look at the contracts that are still on this team.

The whole thing started out Amari to the Browns. and people said, "Dallas y'all gone crazy!"
Then Green Bay said, "Hold my beer! Adams is going to the Raiders!"

Not to be outdone, Cleveland said, "Ha! Ha! We're acquiring a guy who hasn't played in one year, with legal problems, who may be suspended and we're giving up three #1s plus! And for the icing on the cake, we're paying him $230 Million! Who gonna top that crazy idea?

I am very surprised Gregory left Dallas. I am also surprised Adams left Green Bay.

I am shocked the Browns gave up 3 first round picks and then some to get Watson then gave him a $230 million contract for 5 years! That's $46 million a year supposedly fully guaranteed to a player who has not played in a year, still could be suspended by the NFL and is one woman's story away from being banned from football. Talk about taking risks. I wonder if he has a guarantee voiding clause in his contract...

Yea- I’d imagine there has to be more information in their camp than what is public.

plus the lust of a franchise that was soooooo close to relevancy only to have Baker not really pan out.

No doubt the risk is there, but it’s like gambling, the reward could be epic.

But I guess there is a silver lining (besides a massive opt out clause) if it doesn’t work out, they just go back to being the Browns.

How can Houston just trade Watson like that yet we are stuck with Dak because our dead cap money hit would be too large?

The cowboys being the only team in the league that has not signed an outside free agent. Times have changed.... and not for the better.
Rodgers’ contract is really going to put a lot of pressure on the team. Going to have to go cheap somewhere else.

Comparing the aggressive offseason approaches of many front offices as compared to the Cowboys methods yet again.

lt's so over kill/dead horse at this point, but it literally is almost impossible for me to comprehend this team winning future trophies while a Jones name is attached to it.

It's been said over and over, but still.

So in an ironic twisted answer to the OP, the surprise is that theres no surprise in the Cowboy Way of doing business. Or should that be a surprise? lol

And another year passes.

smh

Without a doubt, Devante Adams getting traded to the Raiders is the WOW moment of the off season so far. I Definitely did not see that coming, I wonder if A-rod saw it coming lol. Adams got his money too [$28.5 mil. per yr.] making him the highest paid [NONE QB] player in the NFL. ** A close 2nd. is the Randy G. signing debacle, but must we rehash that?!

I can't understand anyone paying that price to take that risk. Think there is some positive info that the public isn't aware of?

EASILY that not only did a guy accused by 20 women of sexual crimes against them get traded but he got traded for 3 1sts, a 3rd and a 5th.

AND.

He got a huge FULLY Guaranteed contract.

AND

he called all the shots.

Devonte Adams being traded away from Aaron Rodgers. Von Miller signing a huge offer from the Bills.
