Cause Dak already cant lead a receiver to save his life. Always behind them when they have to slow down or reach back.

Damn like 30 other posters said the same thing....

:hammer:......yet Jerry was dumb enough to lock himself in on this kid. When it comes to QBs.....Jerry is clueless what to look for. QB play is all about timing.....anticipation...and seeing what the defense is doing. And our guy is piss poor in all 3 aspects. Not saying he can't improve.....but he needs better recognition....of what's going on around himself....and what's going on...on the field.

Good posts gents....all relevant. BUT.....what about Pollard? He's plenty fast and I VERY much look forward to him this year in the slot. Sure he can run plenty of routes out of the backfield but I really think he's a mismatch nightmare in the slot. Helluva weapon for Moore if he's utilized properly. We are done in F.Agency at WR but I'd expect us to take 1-2 more in the draft between the 2nd-5th rounds.

i don't care about 40 times.
just show up and show out on game day.

Hell yes....how 'fast' was Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice? They weren't burners but were two of the best ever. Also on that list: Fred Biletnikoff, Ahmad Rashad, Tony Hill, Lynn Swann and dozens of others.

That's a good question. I was a super fast WR in my youth, but there were better, slower, WRs. At the pro level you want the better WR. At the pro level cover corners are fast too. Never draft a WR just because of his speed. Cooper had speed and he was good. I don't think Cooper Cupp is a particularly fast WR, but I'd say he's pretty good.
Cooper Cup is listed at 4.6 and unstoppable like Jerry Rice who was also listed at 4.6 and is the greatest receiver ever. BTW, I ran a 4.6 human timed 40, and they doubled me the entire game because I was so dangerous.

Which may be exactly why they signed Washington… not the fastest guy, but he has nice size, is decent at contested catches and has strong hands.

If Dak is going to be seeing press coverage— Gallup and Washington are both decent at making tight window catches.
He isn’t going to need make any contested catches here,

Yeah, Jerry Rice was said to have "some speed" coming out of college. Dude was fast in the pros. I don't remember too many people running him down. Some people run faster when their adrenalin is pumping, not so fast when it isn't. Like just running the 40.

I like his size. He should be a handful in the open fiend. I just think he should drop 10 pounds. That would put him in the 4.4s

Jerry was 6’2 205. Then went down to 200. He was the best route runner ever and had the fastest first step

Gallup and lamb both run 4.5s. Janes washington runs 4.54. Cooper was the only fast guy and was a great Rt runner and they trade him.
Yet Cooper was 5th in YAC. He had less YAC than Dalton Schultz, Cedric Wilson, Tony Pollard, and even Zeke! Speed is good but being elusive is too.

You’re ignorant . Yay doesn’t increase or diminish speed. You can get tax from Strength.
