too tired to read all replies, but the only improvement I see is our "draft" position
You don't see the improvement w/ the salary cap? I know you're joking, have to be.

These moves will allow us to keep Lamb, Diggs, Parsons, Pollard, DLaw, Galley, Osa, and the others who should be the core of our team going forward.

Losing 5-6 starters is not a good thing, especially when they don’t have decent replacements . You defending this mess is a strong indication that you are delusional. You let your fan-boy emotions take over instead of accepting reality.
It is if your team was not going to contend for the super bowl anyway, and you need a small minirebuild on the fly.

No, these are the right moves, the elephant in the room is whether we'll follow this up w/ more right moves.

Can Alarcon or Ball crack the starting lineup?

They seem high on ball but he was on IR so need to see him in some PS games.
Some fans seem high on Alarcon, so possibly or at least some depth and a rotation if needed. Maybe Ball can develop into the swing tackle for now.

Is this Jerry or Stephen? They are the only two people that is associated with the Cowboys that can put this kind of spin on the worst offseason in recent memory.

Other than a Gregory hiccup, the cowboys have all but nailed the roster moves thus far. Just because things aren’t happening fast enough for some cry baby like you doesnt mean diddly.

I said it earlier.....I suspect you could list 25+ teams who have not upgraded overall this offseason.

Taking into account aging, player losses and player additions.

Need the draft or the rare big FA grab (without losing a big FA) to pull it off.

Who they are keeping and who they got rid of. Nailed it. Now whether the cry baby know nothings realize that or not is inconsequential.

In addition the new contracts to resign these guys have been team friendly deals. Well done.

My whole point is yeah, the salary cap has improved but what exactly are we doing to improve the on field team? How about the now?

  • We’ll be better at corner with Joseph and Wright developing
  • We’ll be better at safety with Hooker healthy, Mukuamu developing (assuming we re-sign Kearse)
  • We’ll be better at LB if we replace Neale with a 1st or 2nd round pick. LVE was also improving the further the season went on and we could get more out of Cox. Interesting to see what Parsons is as a 2nd year player.
  • We’ll be better at DT with Odigi and Bohanna developing and Hill/Gallimore healthy
  • LDE should be better if Lawrence plays 70% of snaps rather than the 25% he played last year. Parsons could play more at RDE to cover the 38% of snaps Gregory played. If Quinn can get Fowler to be something close to the double digit sack guy that he has been, or Armstrong continues to develop then we aren’t weaker than 5 sack Gregory who again missed time with injury and only had 1 sack in the back half of the season.
  • We’ll be better at TE with any addition as Jarwin missed 3/4 of the season. I’m expecting a early day 3 pick making it a push IMo.
  • Biadasz and Steele should develop into better players and I’d back an early draft pick to be better than CW and his penalties.
It’s really wide reciever that I expect us to be significantly worse. Even then, Ceedee is improving and we can and have gotten more out of Gallop in past seasons than 2021.
That’s hanging a lot on players hopefully developing and counting on rookies.

Well. Not sure if it's been mentioned.

Safety.

That might be the one. Hooker should be better 18 months after his Achilles surgery. I think he's better than Kazee when healthy. We just resigned Kearse.

This might be the one.
