i would even accept a Robert Quinn type late round conditional trade if that would be what it take to get that middle ground splash player that has
ability to get us to another level ... per defense, per offense.

But that kind of trade is just not a given year in year out, and we're seeing playoff and SB contenders making that risky vet middle ground splash and push
But as many have said it's about the sheer philosophy of NFL draft, re-sign own core players, and bargain binge the leftovers.,, .

Until it changes, we know what to expect. A few more 1 yr low level deals so they aren't forced to fill a need via the draft. I don't expect any significant changes prior to the draft.

Some smoke right now around these 3 in Dallas.

I know the Wagner talk has been mostly fake Twitter posts - but there has been some chatter recently with and having Quinn as your DC - surely helps that cause.

So let's say Jerry send his son away for a couple days and makes these moves. How would that change your outlook on the team for the next couple years OR are these guys gonna be past their prime, expensive FAs?

Personally, if Dallas could pull this off and sign all 3 - that allows you to go heavy in the draft on the offensive side of the ball - hopefully shoring up your Oline, TE and WR spots.

I do hesitate on Smith and his back, but HB and Wagner would be homeruns to me on a defense looking to take the next steps.
More like a fart in the wind....I seriously doubt any of these guys are interested in coming here.

I think Quinn gets that rep because LOB were huge but I don’t think he’s turning down talent in size…..

Well, since coming here he has added a 6-4 starting strong safety, 6-4 free safety and 6-4 corner, so I think the reputation is well-earned. It's just not the primary factor, especially at free safety where he's had some relatively short players.

Agents also generate a significant amount of fake rumors.
- They have relationships with media people and get them to link their clients to the Cowboys.

to what end though? might as well say they're leaving for the xfl

most guys come here to retire and collect a paycheck. shrugs. the cowboys, where nobody is expected to give 100 percent, just pick up a paycheck.

He has but when gameday comes its not 6'4 corners or safeties starting its Anthony Brown, Diggs and Jourdan Lewis.

Come on guys! You should all know that in this social media world, Agents will always link their players with Dallas to attempt to drive up the money. It's called puffing and there really is no smoke.

Most of us as fans can see what adding Wagner to this defense would do. Not trying to build a "Madden Team". But his addition would take the D to a higher level. They would be able to focus on the O line and D line early in the draft as well.

Wagners very interested and he might be on his way here stay tuned.

btw what are all these guys still out there you all act like FA is over..its just heating up..the overpriced big names are gone now the real FA period begin...let the FO finish the offseason before all these ridiculous judgements.

AC Underachieved and overpaid yes he was top wr but seriously could have been TO type hes not going to the HOF ie Overrated to that extent i mean 20mil book that, Collins suspended out of shape and needs motivation he cant create on his own, and then big talker mr 6.5 career high sack guy suspended always and or hurt..i mean fans wanted these guys gone in a lot of ways the last few seaosns and now that they are gone what fans now pounce on jerry for starting to clean house?

the moves are deemed bad only because Jonses decided to let them go in sudden move. Fans hate for jones are clouding these moves, they are actually good..add in Cwill hes good guy but not getting it done , didn't you want him gone, yet. All these guys were moves fans would have made

lets see Garrett finally gone., Jaylon smith, Zuerlein, and Jarwin gone. Seriously the last few years these are tough cuts for the Cowboys starters not jags in many cases and they cut bait. These were fan wants yet seem to now be upset why because we didn't bring in first wave huge name overpriced FAs?

this is exactly what needed to happen.

I like the offseason not luv but i can see the upside...

Dlaw, Gallup, Schultz, Armstrong, fowler, Washington, Kearse, Hooker, LVE, lone wolf McQuade the LS, brown, sprinkle, etc all signed or retained,

thats a crap ton of moves guys..

they act like the FO is sitting on their hands..they aren't done,

you all realize its still 6 months before game 1 and we still have the draft.

Many zoners did this last off season and had gloom for the season that draft, and Fa crop led to 12-5 those off season moves..

you all need to be patient and calm down, the season, all games played is the only true judgement we can make, not sit behind computer guessing and questioning moves.

More to come stay tuned...chill guys.

I would prefer Wagner to free up The Lion. Wagner could cover TEs/RBs and the lion could rush more this year.
