That guy is just greedy.

Stephan offered him 500 dollars a week and a stick of gum ......... What more could he want.

The Cowboys don't know how to do a good trade. Advertise to the rest of the league were letting the guy go if we can't trade him. They just got taken to the cleaners by the Browns in the Cooper trade. Got nothing for Lael Collins and he signs with Cincinnati Bengals. Wow, we got cap space and lower quality players. I suspect we may not win the NFC East in 2022.

How can GMs who has been doing this for 30 years be this inept? I’d like to be this bad at my job and never have to worry about getting fired.

Depending on his Guarantees that is not a bad deal at all. I can stomach not having Gregory at that, and Von Miller is definitely expensive and older, but the only thing about smith that is bad is his back. Shame they weren't in on this.

I've said this our pick at #24 is OL and most likely the 2nd Round is DL

LOL at people thinking we had a chance.

Only way we will engage at this point is if a week or so from now Wagner is still out there and we can entice him with a Stephen Jones bargain bin contract special.

A complete and utter failure by the Cowboys not to go after talent.

LOL at Helman. That DE rotation is mediocre. Helman will be tweeting in Nov wondering why our pass rush is so inconsistent and middling. This is why Dave.

And LOL at the Cowboys not spending more than $6.5 million per year. That's a great way to build a championship team, Jerry.
Dave wont be tweeting anything like that. He is almost as big a shill as Mickey

Or, how much longer fans are going to put up with it. My fursona and suit are heavily built on the Cowboys, so I'm in it for the long haul. That said, I wonder how much more fans are going to put up with this.

Right. I wonder how many "new" fans there really are out there. Surely you wouldn't just jump on this train of misery if given the choice.

This was pretty obvious it was going to happen last night with Smith's referrence to Purple People Eater's quote.

The Jones' boys, again, being cheap and thinking they're one-upping the rest of the NFL with their "savvy" moves and non-signing of stars. Can't wait to watch opposing QBs have 15 seconds in the pocket this up coming season.

You have to keep Parsons in the equation at taking significant DE snaps. When Parsons and Lawrence are the ends that's a great combo not mediocre. Armstrong, Fowler, and Basham are solid rotational options that will provide Parsons some position flexibility. To me it's more of the interior of the line that's a question mark. Gallimore and Osa's growth will be critical. At the moment they're mediocre starters with growth potential.

But, will they use it to get better? Cause they haven’t so far. Their moves have been lateral at best, and that’s not including the talent dump on the OL.
You mean the first few days. Lol

it’s pretty clear what’s happening:

-make cap room
-resign targeted own guys
-sign other players with money left over

-draft
-sign fa after draft

complain the whole time and stomp the floor all you want. It’s a waste of time until after the draft.

from where I’m standing the cowboys are doing it right.

OL dump? Where?

OL revamp is #1 priority, it’s obvious. Getting rid of overpaid dead weight comes first.

I’ll take Steele over Collin’s. Williams was terrible.

Parsons is your best LB. You put him at DE, then your LB corps is weak. He'll play most of his snaps at LB. And when he does, where does the pass rush come from on non-obvious passing downs?

So no, I don't think you can include Parsons in an analysis of DEs. Our DEs are middling by any non-homer standard.

Still people here supporting the Owners how? Smith was a relatively cheap solution to the loss of Gregory (a player the Jones boys wanted to keep however you spin it). It would have allowed a draft concentrated on need ( OL/DT/TE and WR). Not only for this year but next year as well.
I cannot understand this FO. It's ok bossing this dumpster fire that is the East but this team is light years away from a SB.
At a time when the NFC is inferior to the AFC , it's time to at least attempt to sign better players.
If I'm Payton and I'm looking at this trash I'll stay in Media.
