As long as Jerry runs this team, it's going to be a circus.
It's about entertainment as well as winning and the two don't mesh well.
Btw: go Dodgers!!!
How bout that freeman signing?
That's how you do free agency!

Whatever they call what they are throwing out there right now as their football product, it's not even entertaining more. No more moral victories and human interest stories. It's just pathetic.

I mean, while utility associated with victory is what we crave, particularly in January, there is also entertainment value in the losses since this club tends to drift towards the dramatic in either case. The Monday autopsies are usually interesting as well.

The thrill of victory and dreams of postseason glory were traded in decades ago. This organization sells other things to its fan base. I’ve got tons of Cow merch and assurances we will be “competitive” in the division title race. That’s what the Jones family serves up, hot and ready.

So see, there’s something for you! Expected something else? If so, you probably checked out somewhere in the mid-1990s.

And I mean nothing....the last 2 weeks have totally gutted me. Its why I no longer have the first 6 games of our schedule (Home & Away) memorized before the season starts...its why I haven't worn any Cowboy cap or clothing in years....its why despite living 40 miles from AT&T Stadium, I wouldn't attend a game if Boogers Strip Club Bus picked me up at my front door. It's also why despite not being a huge baseball fan, my Dodgers have jumped the Cowboys in garnering my utmost devotion....sure they have more money than anyone....I get that.....but they are ALL ABOUT WINNING. I cannot think of ONE positive thing right now to get excited about....in two weeks, we've been caught by several teams and lapped by others. Next year is gonna be a disaster of major proportions....get ready. If you think that I'm way off base, I'd love to hear why. I never in a million years thought my Cowboys would take second place to any of my other sports teams...but it has happened. Am I alone?

We will probably win the East again. No chance of a SB but we will win the crappiest division Bowl. That will satisfy the Front Office groupies on here but like you not the real fans.
I am addicted to the Boys and I'm too old for Cowboys Anonymous counseling so, it's my personal cross to bear. I came to the conclusion some times ago that this team will never win another SB. So I just appreciate them for the dollar making monster they are and watch the good teams play a sport I still love on streaming later.
Cheer up.

There’s really no reason to attach much emotions to the Cowboys any longer. And difficult to really take us serious anymore. Apathetic is a good place for me.

While I still root the team on for 60 minutes 17 weeks a year on Sunday I also have some satisfaction watching our dysfunctional organization fall on its face when it comes to football operations.

I agree. This off-season proves Stephen now does the bulk of the heavy lifting. Unlike his father, who cared about insofar as he would get the credit, Stephen is utterly ambivalent. Over 20 years, he’s learned the Cowboys don’t have to win to be insanely profitable. For him, the Cowboys are a cash cow that requires minimal effort. Swinging a better deal for Amari and approaching free agents in a way that’s engaging rather than alienating requires work he’s not willing to put in.

This is the Cowboys now—dumpster diving in free agency and signing your own players to bad deals because “loyalty.”

To the OP, you are definitely not alone in your thoughts. But let's face it. You are a typical fan, lured by the hype of sports pundits who pretend to know the first thing about any of the FAs. Us fans have the luxury of looking at players the same way kids look at toys. Somebody else pays for it, someone else have to figure out whether X, Y or Z free agent is a good fit for their team. We get to just look at names and lists and pretend that we know anything about what it takes to run a team. Sure blames the Joneses for being among the worst for making football decisions. But there isn't a single CZ member that would be capable of running the Dallas Cowboys organization. NOT ONE MEMBER!

I wouldn't want them to run it but I bet most could and would make better Coaching and Player decisions....

Once Stephen takes over expect another 26 years. He will operate on the cheap while making the most revenue.

Not at all. We are a rudderless team led by a couple of morons, each moronic in a different way to complement each other and form like a superpowered double moron from which there is no escape or hope for the future

Voltron or Voltmoron?
