All I hear from Jerry and his genius son is cap cap cap…..and that’s why we always sign all these third rate scrubs or a hurt guy on a one year contract ….

So how do the Rams manage to sign and trade for all these expensive pro bowlers and future hall of fame players ….

Is the Rams cap bigger than ours????

Well...The cowboys have 9 draft picks in the draft and have picks in the first 3 rounds. Draft $$ expected to be 7-9 million.

Rams have their first pick at the end of round 3, a compensatory pick at 104. Their next is the end of round 4, a comp pick at 142.

They then have their next picks at the end of the 6th round, comp picks at 211, 212, and 218. Then they have two 7th round picks.

Their draft pool is probably 700k at most.

SO that is a big difference and also a difference in philosophy. We have seen the Commanders use this approach and flame out miserably. The Rams got a little lucky last year and we will see what happens this year.

The 25m$ you’re paying La’El Collins, Jaylon Smith, and Amari Cooper not to be Cowboys, They’re paying Aaron Donald

The 55m$ AAV you’re paying Dak and Zeke, they’re paying Jalen Ramsay, Cooper Kupp, Leonard Floyd and Allen Robinson

The 40m$ you’re paying Gallup, Schwartz, and Demarcus Lawrence, they’re paying Matt Stafford

And as for the 17.5m$ Cap hit for Tyron Smith this year, they’ll possibly give some of that to Bobby Wagner and some of that to OBJ

It’s all there, it’s just used differently

The rams are in for one long rebuild in just a couple years. They’ve gone all in and if that nets you a Super Bowl it’s worth it. 2024 seems to be when the clock may run out on them. Stafford cap hit goes ballistic, Aaron Donald needs a new deal before then, they have to make a decision on Ramsey for 2024 and cooper kupp becomes an FA that year too. Basically they can either elect for cap hell or lose the talent that is getting them to super bowls. Either way it’ll be a tough spot because they don’t have much draft capital to replace these guys for several years.

I don't know, I thought the Saints were in the same boat this year, but they've made moves somehow.

Nope...the only thing bigger is Stan Kroenke's huevos, compared to Jerry's.
Kronke has bigger eggs than Booger? How can that be, everything in Texas is bigger.

nummy, I believe the word you would prefer is cojones. Stan Kronke has bigger cojones than Booger and yes, he does. But he hasn't been using his to make illegal babies like Booger has.

They made moves but I’m not sure they got any better. Might be a bit of a stretch but you could argue they lost their best offensive and defensive players.

Because they let walk mistakes and replaceable players. Brockers was the last one to go. Good player, but wanted the mint. Bye.

I remember when people were saying how the Rams a few years ago gave up everything they have for one year, and yet they still competing while Jones is worried about who they can get cheap and issue oversize contracts to avg players.

Yet many fans cry PASS! on all the proven FAs, saying they are too expensive, too "washed up", or we don't need them. I got bad news for you...we need them. Do we ever need them. ANY of them.

You guys need to realize with the Rams winning the superbowl in LA Jerry also won. Jerry owns the company that runs the suite for the Rams stadium and the agreement is for over 100 years.

why do you think he picked the rams as favorites to win the superbowl, follow the money. The company is called Legends you guys can look it up. It’s at the point where several teams suites are owned by him so think about his mindset here - he’s winning in his eyes when the Cowboys lose.

Fun fact is that when you've won a Superbowl recently many players want to be a part of that. (Unless you're the Eagles)

We only win at $ in Jerry's pocket.

They want to win and somehow they make it happen, the Jones boys are content with overpaying a bunch of JAGs
