And I mean nothing....the last 2 weeks have totally gutted me. Its why I no longer have the first 6 games of our schedule (Home & Away) memorized before the season starts...its why I haven't worn any Cowboy cap or clothing in years....its why despite living 40 miles from AT&T Stadium, I wouldn't attend a game if Boogers Strip Club Bus picked me up at my front door. It's also why despite not being a huge baseball fan, my Dodgers have jumped the Cowboys in garnering my utmost devotion....sure they have more money than anyone....I get that.....but they are ALL ABOUT WINNING. I cannot think of ONE positive thing right now to get excited about....in two weeks, we've been caught by several teams and lapped by others. Next year is gonna be a disaster of major proportions....get ready. If you think that I'm way off base, I'd love to hear why. I never in a million years thought my Cowboys would take second place to any of my other sports teams...but it has happened. Am I alone?
I am with you. I have never been so dejected even during garrett years....but this year feels different. its not about FA, or cutting our players, but its about lack of philosophy. what are we trying to do? what's our identity? what's the plan? there doesn't seem to be any, just bunch of random moves filling in the roster.

Man the love in this house is just crazy!

You feel better? I'd have respect for you, had you detailed exactly what it was you abhor about me and my post.

I never feel shame for calling it as I see it. When a person presents to me a dystopian point of view of the Cowboys and the people in charge of running the franchise it's a very distorted perspective. Only a piece of crap human being is capable of that perversion. Shame on you for defending it.

LOL, not depressed, I just have a good view of reality. Now the reality of this team and offseason will most certainly depress even the happiest of fans. It was bad enough to watch this team fall apart last season , but watching the team lose 5-6 starters and replacing them with scrubs makes this offseason one of the worst in memory.
My good view of reality says it’s a game.

I'll be sure to cheer Freddie on at Dodger Stadium. Can't believe they let him go. I loved his game and demeanor even as a Dodger fan
Great player. You will love him. He’s great at everything. But Braves will still beat the Dodgers.

What I really love is that back in the day there was always crazy homers that defended everything management did.. but now it seems everybody is pretty aware of the situation and we at least get some funny comments to go along with it.

I’m way more into the Mavericks than the Cowboys. I only post out of habit and or pity.

I honestly highly doubt that. Losing Solar, Joc, and Freeman is gonna be huge. We shall see

The Cowboys are not even in my top100 of the priorities in my life. They have never offered me a single dime, but they are a form of entertainment and it would nice if the entertainment was winning Super Bowls, which would be much more entertaining. Judging my perspective from reading a few posts on a message board can be very misleading.

Excellent post!

Too many people nowadays try to live their lives vicariously through athletes, celebrities, social media personalities, and their favorite sports teams. That is a recipe for failure because you are tying your personal happiness to somebody or something that you cannot control.

This is entertainment, nothing more and that is how every fan should treat the Cowboys.

What if there was no football? What if there was a giant asteroid headed toward earth? What if you were on a ventilator? No TV or cellphones? War on our shore? Hostile aliens? It’s a freakin’ game! Get some perspective. Get a grip!
Just thinking of the possibilities of any of that happening and I became mildly nauseated for a brief moment.. some dang reality right there.

Anyone that supports the NBA's business model and how it supports the CCP isn't a person that gives a damn about the state of the world. Just going through life blindly.

I don’t drink, but maybe I should start. This team has that effect on people.
I agree. I don’t drink either. But that’s the revenue that help us pay these players salaries TV commercials

you are a 100% right! I felt this way when I saw MM & Moore was coming back for another year. I expected the nightmare free agency mess but was at least was hoping for new coaching to give me some hope

Nope, you aren't alone. For reasons discussed ad nauseum, I view them as a pretender until evidence is provided otherwise.

I haven't replaced them as my favorite team but I am not dependent upon them any longer. If other teams are playing good ball or have players I like, I have no problem enjoying their games and rooting for them.

If they can prioritize it as a business, I can prioritize where they rank & what I contribute to them. Haven't bought any merch, attended a game, etc., in years.
