So what do you mean then? Is Fowler worse?

And 6 sacks was Gregory’s ‘best ever’.

I’m not ‘diverting’ anything. I pointing out the gaping holes in a bad argument. You mentioned that Fowler could be a ‘bonehead’. Your words. I pointed out that Quinn know him FOR YEARS. He knows him, you don’t.

See above.

Point being Gregory got just 6 sacks among a group of good pass rushers. 6 sacks.

[quote{now, it remains to be seen how Fowler will do in Dallas. I hope I am wrong. I will eat crow if I am wrong about him. but at this point, right now, its not an improvement, given cowboys and denver both wanted Gregory. both offered him large contracts. fowler was an after thought when our offer was rejected.

Teams make bad signings every year. We both know that.

Well at least you finished your post being reasonable. I’m good with that.

[/QUOTE]
he is not better than gregory. he maybe the same, so in my mind, we didn't improve the position. and fowler has to learn a new system and play along new players.

Player A had a bunch of sacks few years ago, does it mean he is as good today? fowler had 3, 4.5 sacks las two years. so obviously he needs a lot of help (think Dak) to help him achieve better results as he is not a difference maker, thus making him a JAG.

NFL is not based on what you did in the past, but based on what I think your potential is in the future (which is btw, not the way the cowboys think through things). so obviously cowboys and Broncos thought, Gegory has much higher potential than Fowler. both heavily pursued gregory and both made significant offers.

so fowler, at this juncture of his career is not as good as gregory. that's my opinion. its also opinion of Broncos and Cowboys FOs.

Teams don’t let good pass rushers just walk away when they have several sacks every season. We don’t know what the Fowler’s problems are, but we will find out this season when the Cowboys let him walk. Something is not right with him other than his play.
exactly. he may end up having more sacks than gregory, in which case I will be very happy. but at this point, two teams thought more of gregory than Fowler.

"Dak & Dallas have step back" - Colin "on-fire" Cowboys sent Amari Cooper to Browns | THE HERD

I dislike Colin. He is wrong sometimes and pretends that he always knew he was right.

But he is certainly right in this case. They totally botched the Amari Cooper trade. Totally!

We are now worst off without Cooper.

If KC was willing to do whatever it takes to get DK Metcalf they would have done whatever it took to keep Tyreek Hill.

All statistical evidence to the contrary.

Past results are the best indicator of future production.

So you assume that anything trans decide to do is automatically the right thing? Interesting perspective. I guess that’s why they never get it wrong…

so fowler, at this juncture of his career is not as good as gregory. that's my opinion. its also opinion of Broncos and Cowboys FOs.

Duly noted. We’ll see how your opinion holds up.

Well, it doesn't take a genius like Cowherd to see that.

9-8
That could be enough to win our division again and a home field playoff game. And probably end in same fashion as last year.

Im not sure a 12-6 or 9-9 season that ends like that makes much difference?

Check the contract that he had with the Falcons who were in bad cap shape and are rebuilding.

You are probably right, but they wouldn’t have a chance if they played anywhere other than the NFCE. Another one and done playoff appearance is likely.
Maybe. Maybe not. At the end of the day the games are played on the field and not on paper. I don’t recall to many people having the Bengals in the SB.

Dak took a step back when he broke his ankle. That's when Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys Football club decided to sign Dak Prescott to a huge deal without so much as seeing how well he would heal and how well he would be able to play. Dak was tier 2A before that injury and now he's being paid at a tier 1A level.

Amazing Decision.

We have lost more than we have gained, and are not as talented as we were last year.
Think we have definitely regressed.
I know Free Agency is not over, but how many impact players are left?
The front office has not shown any ability to secure other teams players as well.
We have late draft position, hard to imagine an impact player being available at 24 ?
Down about the season at this point.
And we lost our best dee threat: Gallup Is only a deep threat when covered by no.2 or 3 corners.

Colin picks the Commanders to win the East and Minnesota to win the North. Said with a straight face that Carson Wentz is better then Dak. Believes Washington has a better coaching staff as well. Also picked Denver to win the West. Later admitted he has a relationship with Russ’s agent. Cowherd is such a tool.

Colin really doesn't do that. You shouldn't make comments if you don't fact check by watching his show.

There's one possible saving grace to all of this. That losing Cooper, Gregory, and Collins won't have much of a negative impact. If their contributions were minimal, their loss will be as well. And money was saved as a result.

I'm not saying this is the case. I'm hoping this is the case.

Mira only minimal if the replacement of these players can produce at least to their minimal level. Big doubt on Cooper.

Think of what we had back in 2016. Dak the rookie who wasn't as good as he is now. A good run game and a solid OL. Even when Dez was injured the Cowboys didn't skip a beat. If we shore up that OL and have some kind of run game we should be fine. Our D is better than 2016.

I respect people who stand by their opinions instead of imitating the majority. I do t have to agree but have your own thoughts.

Wrong

Plenty of Offensive weapons. Gregory was a 6 sack a year bonehead.

Our offense was much better before Dez came back. Fix the line and we're actually much better.
