Never underestimate the front offices way of destroying players by using them in the wrong position. Happens all the time with this franchise.

Sadly....I think it's gonna happen with Parsons. We have seen how great he is rushing the QB.....but I bet money they plan on using him at MLBer....wasting his talent getting after the QB.
This is a tough one. He is so talented he could be a difference maker at either position. If he added 10-15 pounds( to take the pounding and add a little more power) he could be this decades dominant pass rusher along with Watt.

I think, so far he has shown more dominance as a pass rusher and dominant DE’s are usually bigger game changers, than MLBers. Micah could be different though.

I think they will use him just like last year
That was pretty effective

I think over time he will be used more as a pass rusher and less at LB
He will get bigger and stronger over time too
But I think Quinn likes being able to use him from many spots and keeping the oline guessing
At DE it’s easier to scheme for him but it’s hard to scheme for a guy if you don’t know where he’s gonna be

I've got to admit. I'm on the fence about where to put Parsons. He just seems like the kind of player you want in the middle of things and I think there are skills and abilities not yet revealed. He can tackle. he can cover. He's one one of the fastest guys on the field if not the fastest for both sides.

On the other hand, you put him on one side and Lawrence on the other and they can't double team them both. One of them is on the way to the QB fast.

.....On the other hand, nobody said Parsons couldn't be a frequent blitzer up the middle.......the MLB position is probably the best to utilize all of his amazing abilities.

On the other hand..........................Could he be the next Charles Haley? Could he be that catalyst, that big play Edge that completely changes the perception, the character of the defense from soft to utterly destructive?

You see what I mean? It's such a paradox, it's that pleasant dilemma..

I thought it was a marginal pick at the time as did my son. We both wanted a corner and thought we should have moved up to get one. Micah didn't play two years ago and having only one year of production as a freshman seemed to make him a risk pick at the time to both of us. We were not alone. Lots of folks felt the same way. Appears we were really wrong, but lets see how he does this year. On paper thus far our team is worse then it was, but lets see what the draft brings.
Micah played two years and was phenomenal. He was rated higher than the CB's.

If the Cowboys had laid out big bucks for a player, let's say Miller, there would be just as much complaining.

The complaining wasn't as much about picking Parsons as much as their pet cat didn't get picked. It's the same with FA's.

What I don't get is why waste complaining now? Might get worn out before the real season starts when the real complaining could begin. Or not, we have no idea yet how this team is going to perform.

However, this site is for complaining, commiserating and comingling so to your pleasures good madams and sirs. Damn, I sound like gimmetheball, the bland bloke is getting to me.
There are many who complain any time we don't pick a CB or WR.

The whine feast around here reminds me of this site, after Micah was drafted.

How did that turn out?

Most of you will continue to whine and cry about every move, or non move, EVERY team in the league makes. I would suggest let Free Agency and the draft play out before whining about EVERYTHING.

The Rams were building their team throughout the season. Maybe we will take a page from the Rams. Not saying that, but am saying, the constant whining is for children.

Fans are just frustrated because it looks like this team is taking two steps back instead of a step forward after a surprisingly good season last year.

And its not just the fans here, Mac Engel with the Ft. Worth Star Telegram has called this the worst offseason in Cowboys history. So even the local media is not understanding the moves this team is making.

But history is not on the side of the Cowboys, last team this team had back to back playoff seasons was in 06 and 07, yep, 15 years ago.

Would love to hear your prospects list.

You wouldn't, there are some guys here who have awesome insights into college football. Im not one of them. I'm more of a draft magazine and podcast nerd. When the draft rolls around I will have guys I'm hoping for, but I rarely dump on any player because I'm ok with acknowledging my own ignorance. Lol

Nobody here is an expert, except the few, in their own minds..
The rest of us just speculate.

Its Dark Times Beast, but when has the media understood anything at this point.
Its all speculative clickbait, so I prefer to let the dust settle post draft, late vet cuts, now is not the time to conclude an offseason evaluation.
This offseason has been turbulent because fans get tied to draft picks, and Coops departure represents a 1st round pick,, oh well... say lave, cya later.
I loved Coop, just didnt like the flat lines he would lay out half the time, but Coop was a vital cog and will not be easily replaced.
Dak knows this now, if he didnt realize it before, guarantee he knows it now.
Now enter Mr James Washington,, this was a very savy move, and I give the FO props for this signing specifically.
JW was buried on a deep WR roster in Pitt, and this kid has some game, and Im willing to bet he becomes a fan favorite much sooner than later.

I stand by what I said, “ let FA and the draft play out before whining about EVERYTHING”.

Complaining, and backing it up, with valid points is one thing, but just whining constantly about EVERYTHING with nothing to back it up, is childish.

You like it when people whine just to whine?

Course not, but after 26 years of futility people's patience is wearing thin....

You don’t understand the difference between complaining, and giving logical reasons why you are complaining, and just whining about EVERYTHING, and not giving any logical reasons why?

There is a huge difference.
Logical reasons? :lmao: It is still whinning.
