That's what I'm not getting.

Whether any of US think Dak is the guy or not....THEY DO.....so why not make a better attempt while you have that guy???

They seem to think they can do 12 wins a year by not overspending in FA and thinking the draft provides more help than it really does.
I agree that's the frustrating part. If they had some kind of comprehensible strategy, and backed it up with their actions, I could somewhat get on board even if it was a strategy (e.g., betting on Dak) that I wasn't wild about. But at least they'd be taking their shot, and who knows it might work out. But they have NO strategy. It's kind of like we aren't even in the running for a SB unless some truly miraculous set of events (drafting a bunch of Micah's) happens.

“Salary cap limitations” is the equivalent of a wife telling her husband “I have a headache” when he’s looking for some action.

In both cases, they just don’t feel like doing anything!

Stephen just doesn’t care to really improve the team. They’re perfectly content being “cap conscious” and selling us the dream of a championship, but he really couldn’t care less about really going for it.

Seems like he did pretty well for a guy representing himself.

hmmmmmm.......
Another player representing himself (mother helping out ) - Lamar Jackson...and he is playing the waiting game for now.

Exit - Von Miller
Enter - Bobby Wagner
They actually only paid a two for Miller since they will get every bit of the very first comp pick (late 3rd) after that deal he signed.

Oh wait.....is he eligible for a comp pick being traded mid season? Not sure.

If so.....Gilda Radner voice.....nevermind.

I’m betting there is a quick out in his deal
It's always like that.

Bottom line is they found a way.

He makes a few million more than Dorance Armstrong.

Still can't figure out why we can't get over hump.

I'll wait and see how quick the Rams can get out of this deal, but 5 years shows exactly why the Cowboys were never in.

There really isn’t even a thing as a 5 year contract in the NFL. I’ll be shocked if the 2nd year is even fully guaranteed. Wagner likely will never see years 3-5 of this deal

and NO franchise qb, new coach, they are rebuilding brah..what was their record last year, right compare our 12-5 season to losing teams spending money despretalty...

I never compared our roster to theirs. Just pointing out your incorrect statements…and now you’ve moved the goal posts to a different conversation. Just admit it, the Cowboys easily could spend $ and improve the team IF they wanted to.
