There was no risk signing Miller. It was basically a one year deal which is why he is now in Buffalo. This is a 5 year deal which will have consequences for years if Wagner can't play up to it. I guess they don't see a decline in skill.

No question the Rams are run differently. Their owners don't meddle in football affairs b/c they understand their expertise is not football. The Jones boys are a whole other ball of wax incapable of introspection and humility. Because of Jimmy Johnson's early success, Jerry truly believes, in spite of 26 years of evidence to the contrary, that he can build a team. I get it. Ten years ago, I spent an afternoon playing golf with Fred Couples who shot a 65. He made golf look so easy and effortless that I was convinced I too could shoot a 65 if I just tried hard enough. The greats make it look easy. 10 years later, I'm nowhere close to shooting 65. But b/c I saw it done up close and personal by a guy that looked no different than me, I still think in the my back of my head that I can do it. Jerry is the same way. He got a front row seat to the Jimmy Johnson show and ever since, he truly believes that its easy and he can do it.
Don't sell yourself short AC.

You can get up to 65 points if you try really hard.

Wagner makes more sense for Rams than Dallas, fwiw,
At that money, absolutely.

He stated from day one, LA was where he wanted to be. Dallas was never of real interest by either party. Only people outside of Wagner / Dallas front office believe it

This is why I disagree not going all in this season.

You could find yourself in the NFC Championship in a down year with an above average roster
True…especially if the injury bug hits so eteams

I'll wait and see how quick the Rams can get out of this deal, but 5 years shows exactly why the Cowboys were never in.

All about guarantees. I haven't seen the contract yet but I'd bet it's more like 3 years and 30 million guaranteed.

This Cowboy team is not 1 player away from a SB. No reason to pay $65,000,000 to a 31 year old LB to get you over the top.

I don't follow paying a QB 160 million in order to undergo a throw away year.

TB gets Brady and aggressively surrounds him with as much legit help as possible.
The Rams copycat the Bucs with acquiring Stafford and show no regard towards future cap scenarios while going after quality free agents to win now.

So the Cowboys pay Dak, let his WR1, RT1, LG1 and WR3 walk so they can throw away a year, shift dead money of Prescotts to a voidable year all in the name of what again?

Yes, because our defense didn't get any help from any of our rookies last year...lol

Imagine if Cox didn't get hurt...he looked like he would have kept getting better and better last year.
Hey uh....I hear ya but Parsons was a miracle.

That's gotta be on the table here.

I'm just saying these drafts don't yield the immediate help the Jones twins have led us to have to believe.

We lost a number 1 receiver $70m pass rusher, our starting LG

Do you actually believe this guff.
We lost technically.....our #2 wr. Ceedee had more targets and made the pro bowl last year.

Our $70 million pass rusher was one of the reasons we were one and done and is a career LOSER.

Our starting LG that led the league in penalties that will be upgraded significantly in the draft.

The next 3 years, the Rams have his salary basically cover because the dont have 1st and 2nd round rookie wages

I don't know how you can say that?

First, the offseason isn't done yet.
2nd, We still have a ton of talent on this team.
3, our defense can take another step this year.

We have a chance and the potential to win a Super Bowl. If the Bengals can make it there, we can.
The Bengals have an elite quarterback.

Please.

@America's Cowboy LOL. What did I say yesterday? Are you going to say our FO is on par with the FO that just won a championship? Or do you want to just say say that I was right and apologize for being a dbag?
You're right at being an ignorant clown! That's about it.

I told you the Cowboys were not going to pay Wagner that kind of money (justifiably so), so YOU were the one who was wrong. You're just here whining like a child because the Cowboys didn't do what you wanted. Do everyone a favor and go follow another team. Pathetic seeing a grown man *itch & cry so much online.

All the ones liking your pathetic comment can join you as well. They whine just as much as you do about this franchise. Why even follow this team with how much y'all complain?

if we signed him..... next year people would be freaking out because we didn't pick up the next stud free agent. ouch why did we give Wagner so much money, we cant sign anyone. Wipe the tears away, we still have a draft in front of us, we still have free agents and prices will drop and players will get cut. Let's evaluate the team when the full roster is finished and we are heading to our first game.

Potential …

They just won the super bowl, reloaded. Absolutely shocked if they don’t win it again

It's very hard to repeat in the NFL. Their playoff run wasn't mind blowing last year. They blasted the Cardinals in the 1st round but could have very easily lost the next 3 games. They beat the Bucs by 3, 49ers by 3, and the Bengals by 3.

We also got 14 pressures from Osa last year, which is half of what Gregory did. That was year 1.

Gholston had 10.

If we would have played Joseph more last year, he would have done more. He is poised to be a big player for us this year as well.

But they have improved. That's the key.

A lot of these Super Bowl teams become depleted after paying a QB or players wanting their market value. If Cincy was in the NFC, I would favor them to go back to the Super Bowl. The AFC is just so damn stacked

Hey man I'm all for it....

Just not thinking that no draft hurts the Rams this year....as was the original point.

I met Dak last week. I wanted to ask him if it is worth it to watch your teammates being shipped out. One could ask the same thing to Zeke.

I agree with your frustration. I just don't think the Joneses can fix it.

Making another run ....sure. They will be there in the mix, if they stay healthy. Just like us.

I am glad you can rationalize losing key players from a super bowl team and replacing them with a 33 year old lb who could fall off a cliff any minute and another wr.

Meanwhile, they lost a 100 million dollar pass rusher, pro bowl punter, starters on D and OL and have no other way to replace them.
They are getting Robert woods back. And still have the best WR in football, and are keeping most of the band together. While we sign LVE and Dorance Armstrong. Please stop acting like what the cowboys are doing is smart
