Wagner was the 15th ranked LB last season per PFF while LVE was the 35th.

LVE's contract is for $2 mil.

Wagner's will probably be around $10 mil.

Is the difference worth $8 mil?

I don't think so.
Wagner was a second team all pro and has value in his leadership and his knowledge of the game that LVE will never have. He also had a career high in tackles last season. We seriously arguing LVE vs Wagner? Lol.

What’s amazing is you think that McCarthy decided Zeke was to get the carry’s. Lol you really don’t see that the FO is responsible for 27 years of futility. Who’s fault was it then? Lol. Everyone but Jerry?

Also stopping the run? You think you’d rather have LVE there or Kearse. Or Wagner?
Love to have Wagner...just not at that contract.

Jerry made the decisions on the Coaches and some of the horrid contracts that are saddling this team, so of course, he bears blame.

Yeah we are because salary cost is a real thing.

Wagner's leadership and understanding of the game didn't help a wretched Seattle defense much last season.

Hey I think Wagner is a good player (still). Just not worth spending that kind of coin on him IMO given his age.

Lol I was off by a million. You said he wouldn’t sign for anywhere close to 11. Jesus you’re narcissistic. You just can’t say someone else is right. Have fun with that.
So you admit you were wrong? Wow, it's going to snow in April.

Seattle stunk in general last year. I’m saying his knowledge would be invaluable to say. Parsons. Salary cost is a real thing? Tell that to the Rams. Lol.

We had the same record as the Super Bowl champs last year with a mostly young team.

That’s when you get aggressive and go all-in.

Instead, we lost our #1 WR, #3 OL and #2 DE.

Our biggest signing was the Steelers’ #4 WR.

Unbelievable.

I hear ya. I've posted similar stuff trying somehow to find their logic this offseason.

Nothing makes sense to me either.

And cue the flood of FO apologists..."Glad we didn't pay him that much!"; Loved to have had him, but not at that price."; "Too expensive for an old guy".

Don't worry, we aren't winning anything this year, but Stephen saved his pennies this offseason...again.

So what? They are making another run at a Superbowl. That will be 3 appearances in 5 years. We havent been to the NFCCG in 27 years. What is your point? They want to win and we are content sitting on our hands doing nothing to get better because "draft picks are super important"? lol. Sorry. No. The Rams are showing the NFL what to do to win. Stephen and Jerry are being laughed at around the league while they save their cap dollars and draft picks that they dont use to move up in the draft.

He is a sheep fan.

Usually, I like the moves they make. I think they have overcorrected with the FA thing, I do think they need to splurge here and there to get a difference-maker that makes sense. I wanted Wagner but not at this contract...same with Miller.

I was not on board with the Zeke pick and openly advocated for Ramsey, if he was there (which he was) at 4 and then come back around and trade-up slightly for Henry. That would have made a really great draft pretty dang amazing.

It also would have saved us from making dumb personnel decisions like extending Zeke.

I disagree with the competent roster building. Year in and year out they have very good rosters that generally rank among the league's best. Usually, only a QB injury derails them. But that derails most teams.

How does one "rank" a roster? They have only made the playoffs 2 times in the last 5 seasons. How can one argue they constantly put very good rosters together when they have little to show for it in terms of making the playoffs and then winning in the playoffs.

Their rosters range from decent to good. That's enough to not spit out a bunch of 4 and 5 win seasons but it's also a big reason they have middling success making the playoffs and actually winning when they do get there.

Is that you Stephen Jones? How pathetic can this fan base get. Buch of fugging sheeps.

You are disgusting.

I can play games with my credit card payments too, but eventually I have to pay it.

So will the Rams.

The Rams are showing the rest of the NFL how to do it in today’s NFL world. Not a big McVay fan but I hope the Rams win the SB again and Wagner is MVP.

Since the Cowboys won't win it, I'm 100% with you on this

I disagree on the "all-in" thing.

But to each his own.

The Bengals came within a whisker of winning.

Wish they had, then all this "all-in" nonsense wouldn't exist.

The Bengals spent more in FA last year than we did this year. So while they might have not gone FA crazy like the Rams, they spent money in FA last year. For example they signed Hendrickson to a 4 year, $60 million contract. When was the last time the Cowboy signed an outside FA to that kind of contract?

So if you are thinking the Bengals winning would somehow validate what the Cowboys are doing in FA, don't. The Bengals were more active than we have been in FA signing higher level players.

They won the SB. They're playing with house money in the Whale Room while the Cowboys are playing the Nickel Slots
