Tells me he smart enough not to waste money on the flash. If we see him proclaiming that the earth is flat, I’d me a little more concerned…….we all know it’s an oval

Flat earthers are more common than you think. They’re all over the globe.

Anyone else hopeful about this guy?

With all the WR talk and everyone being down about the departure of Cooper, what about Fehoko?

I think he needed to bulk up, from what I saw of his training camp video. He's a little lean for the NFL. But I can see this guy coming on in a year or so with his level of natural ability.

Plus, he's a good character kind of guy. And I sense that Dallas is on the hunt for a certain type of player. And that's why they were willing to let go of the likes of Gregory, and Cooper.

That's my theory. And I'm going to trust the front office on it. Maybe they're onto something with a specific prototype of player, and general philosophy when it comes to personality and attitude.

I know some of you will bash me for this. But these elements matter more than physical ability, etcetera. So I'm personally choosing to take this possibility into account, because I've learned over the years that the best things happen on the team when everyone on here is whining the loudest.

Looked like a warm body to me when he was out there last year. Wasn't impressed with preseason and he did virtually nothing on a team that dealt with receiver injuries. Maybe a year in s&c will do him good bur he has a really long way to go.

Ourlads' Profile:

2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about SIMI FEHOKO: Stanford, 6040 227 4.44. Third-year red-shirt sophomore, one-year starter, Sandy, UT. Physical point of attack blocker, often times digging linebackers out of the box. Adds value with versatility to play condensed splits, slot and out receiver alignments. Matchup nightmare when lined up in tight splits and at slot receiver – too fast and athletic for backers and too big and strong for defensive backs. Impressive use of body to protect throws from defenders. Has a huge catch radius. Smooth, intelligent, disciplined route runner. Deceptively athletic, long strider who eats cushion in a hurry. Explosive transitions. Most big plays last season came from slot alignment. Has extremely violent hands at top of route, explodes into breaking routes when coming out of hand combat situations. Adjust well to off target passes. Understands field spacing and using route tempo to defeat zone coverages. Uses body and hands extremely well to defeat defenders in tight spaces. Has efficient foot speed for press releases. Struggles at times to get on top of elite corners as an outside receiver. Flashes a burst away from corners. Struggles with high behind passes. One of the most intriguing offensive prospects in the draft, he can be a comfort blanket for a young developing quarterback. Will need to work on neck and shoulder dexterity to expand vertical catch radius. Added value as an H-back type of receiver. 2020 stats: 37-574, 15.5 ypr, 3 TD. Third/fourth round. (A-31 5/8, H-10 1/4, VJ-34.5, SS-4.26).

Cooper had no character issues as he wasn’t your prototypical diva WR.

I thought the word is the Cowboys were moving him to TE. Is that still the plan?
I think he's just going to play some h-back but he'll still be a WR. Similar to Noah Brown but hopefully more in the receiving department.

Yes, he needs to bulk up.

Definitely.

Like put on some muscle while maintaining his speed and weight.

It can be done.

And I suspect they're doing it.
It doesn't work that way. You can't bulk up without gaining muscle mass and, therefore, weight. He might need some muscle mass in the right places, but that will not necessarily slow him down. He does not need to get bulky, but he can get stronger.

If it's true they were talking to MIA about Parker, I don't think they're on the Fehoko train and maybe not even the Lamb wagon.

I typically agree with your post, but I’m going to have to throw a flag on this comment.

I believe Dallas is searching for several different types of WRs to accommodate Dak. That should tell you the more about Daks talent than the WRs.. but I digress, as that’s for another thread thats been duplicated many times.

They have a “do-all” play maker in CeeDee, that they realize excels in the slot. So.. they’re searching for the outside WRs that can make tough catches and improvise when Dak scrambles (which he does often and actually excels at himself).

Gallup is the outside WR that can stretch the field, yet also has demonstrated that he can make the tough sideline catches when the play breaks down.

Washington, has played both inside and outside. Although limited in height, he’s one tough SOB that can keep the chains moving. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.. McCarthy invisions a ‘Randall Cobb’ type player when talking ab Washington. Think safety valve for Dak.

The rumors to grab Parker means Dallas is looking for the 3rd type WR. A Possession WR. Essentially, they’re looking for a “Dez” type. A player that can make plays even when an opponent is all over them. Parker has hands. That’s why NE wanted him matched up with their young QB. Same reason Dallas does.. when all else fails, throw it to (said player) and they’ll more than likely come down with the ball.

That said, Simi is a possession WR. He fits the bill. But he’s also unproven and raw. Dallas wanted to secure often injured Parker, knowing they just might have a similar player in Fehoko.

Lastly, if a stud WR falls in your lap in the draft… we’ll then.. everything changes.

None of us, as fans, have seen enough of Simi to have a working knowledge of his abilities. It'll be intriguing to watch. I imagine for him to begin playing the position of TE, it would be like starting his career over. If so, it seems unlikely that making expedient progress could really be expected. I'm of a mind that it might be attempted, but the results wouldn't be timely. In lieu of that, maybe he'd be wise to continue his career as a WR. We shall see . . .
