What are the odds the Seahawks take a 5th round pick for Metcalf? He would cost a 1st because the Seahawks would know how bad Jerry is at making deals.

Just a reminder, we gave up a 1st round pick for Amari Cooper and in that draft the Cowboys could have had Deebo Samuel and DK Metcalf with their first 2 picks.

Imagine poor DK in Dallas negotiating a new contract? I’d feel bad for him

Metcalf's market value is over 20M a year. Jerry's not going anywhere near him. We got a better shot at seeing bigfoot stroll down the street than DK on the Cowboys.

BTW, for all those in favor of trading for Metcalf, any idea on what it would take to get him? Because it's going to be more than a first.

Fisher must be severely intoxicated to suggest us trading for DK Metcalf -- we'd be obliged to jettison half of our offense to accomplish that. :omg:

Yeah, right, Fisher -- I'm sure Stephen and Jerry would jump at the opportunity to do that. Of course, it would also lead to Jerry's sure heart attack!
H-m-m, perhaps that's not such a bad idea, after all . . . :muttley:  :lmao:  Mixed feelings, anyone?

Half our roster isn’t enough. Who do we have good enough to swap?

i've probadly come off a lot like( i'm a dak deddie downer) the truth is all qb's and the whole offense is actually run by the OC and you can't hire some one with learning on the job and win a super bowl. Dak does have flaws but some one that understood that would compensate for those. I don't think in the next two years we will get two games into the playoff picture. but some of you will discuss that of course which is everybody right and a healthy conversation is always welcome. But the way jerry runs this team it's kinda just like Al davis run the Raiders in his declining years, like jimmy johnson said and you kinda have to take it with a grain of salt. JERRY DOESN'T LIKE TO SAY HE IS WRONG, AND TO JIMMY'S CREDIT i've never ever heard him say he's MAD A MISTAKE

Nobody that we could afford to part with! Therein lies the heart of the problem.

It might likely take 2 or 3 decent players or maybe draft picks to fill the bill.

If that's not quite enough of a deterrent, there's the monetary cost that lingers.

No thank you. Metcalf is a beast, but he’s not top of the league. Why trade draft capital for a guy you’ll end up having to resign soon. Stick with inexpensive vets and/or draft picks. We don’t need another big contract at WR.
What the hell have u been watching they guy is top 7-8 receiver n the league lol

Oh, but didn't you hear? There was no one in that draft even close to as good as Cooper!!!! I heard it here, so it must be true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Know who else was in that draft? Cody Ford. Also Marquis Brown, Josh Jacobs. Can you imagine if we hadn't traded for Amari and let the season play out, and ended up w/ Jeffrey Simmons?(19th to TENN)

And why? So we can continue losing in the first round of the playoffs?

what are we using to make the trade? a 1st rd? Cowboys need to be able to address the OL and or DL in this draft. As for WR we have Lamb and Gallup if Cowboys need to find a WR but there are ample WR in the draft to fill the role of 3rd WR.

Don't forget Washington, who we signed as a quality #3.
