I don't think so, This season posted more TD than any other season, highest completion rate and 2nd highest QB rating. I think he is capable of more. I also look for him being a year past the injury to run the ball a bit more when things break down or an opening present itself.
You're right.

His stats will probably be better next season because he'll probably have a lot more garbage time chances with our regressed offense.

Ya know, a few more games like the Denver game where Dak threw 2 TDs while were down 30-0 with 4 mins left. I see more of that type of stuff next season.

Dak peaked his rookie year. Developing into an elite passer was never in the cards for Dak. That’s why his contract is such a disaster for this team.

We’ll always be compensating for his lack of talent while at the same time compensating for his enormous contract. Overpaying your QB is the kiss of death for a team. That’s why you see teams giving away their overpaid QB’s.

Before we jump to conclusions and close the book on Dak let see what an off season of hard work and not having to rehab a serious injury will give us .

Also lets hope the front office fixes the Oline before the season or all bets are off . Nobody is going to be successful with the pile of crap Dak had in front of him at the end of last year .

That said I still stand on the fact that if he has open safe running room in front of him and wont use his legs anymore to help the team the Dak Prescott era is over . Without the intangibles, he is limited and often becomes a liability .

He must return to the old Dak that would do everything in his skill set to move the chains or it is time to move on IMO.

I know some think he was terrible the "2nd half of the season" but the numbers tell a different story. Last offseason he was rehabbing a major injury that years ago would have retired a player. He had some struggles as did the O line and running game yet he still put up significant production and he missed a game. There's no doubt he has the potential to be better.

Dak is not an elite passer. Anyone can see that by just watching the games. Just watch the games. It's no different than when you were growing up and knew who among your friends were the better athletes. You just watched what people did.
So better athletes equal elite qbing? k....

There is no helping this generation.

The only thing that eases the pain of Cowboys loses is watching folk like you be utterly confused as why this team isn't dominating with all the so called "talent" you're suckered into believing we have ever year.

You come here and constantly rip on Dak, Myself I talk of many different aspect of this team. I get it you don't like Dak, you have the right but it gets old when this is an obsession with you. Dak 24/7 ripping on him. Give it rest.

Lastly don't worry about fans like me, I'm doing just fine, and do not need your crap

The thing that really blows my mind with Dak is that he looks so lethal passing some games. The first quarter of this season he was throwing darts. Even though some of the games were against mediocre teams you could just tell he was feeling it. Then, he never got it back and looked like a deer in headlights the second half of the year. Even when he put up big numbers against the east teams later in the season he still didn't look like he was as sharp as he was the first quarter of the year. It's really hard to know if someone has peaked, when it comes to QB if you see a QB throw darts with pin-point accuracy for a few games then you would think they have it in them to improve to doing that consistently. But Dak hasn't, and he seemed to be in his own head at the end of the year which scares me more than physical issues. I think, after all we've seen from Dak, the next 2 years will be extremely telling. If he continues to flounder and be inconsistent then yes, he's peaked. But it took Romo from 2006-2013 until he really started playing consistently and you could tell he was in full command of the offense, though I don't think he ever had the talent around him consistently that Dak has, nor was he as hot/cold as Dak can be. Maybe that's revisionist history on my part because Romo could be a roller coaster too, but Dak just seems more inconsistent and you never know which Dak will show up.

Dak hasn't shown that he's reached the next level in his QB progression. Early on, his mobility was a big asset to compensate for his lack/limitations of passing ability.
Now, he doesn't display that same zeal to use his running ability, mainly due to his hesitation from injuries and his seeming want to prove that he is a legitimate passer.
He is still a quality QB but he has yet to show he is a Force Multiplier as a QB. FM's elevate their team and overcome player limitations. He hasn't shown that ability and now we are stuck paying him as a top QB and we may not see him reach that FM level. I think the struggles by his Oline have taken a toll and he doesn't seem as confident and that affects his accuracy.
He seems to gain a lot of his stats during garbage time after the team has fallen behind by double digits. He teases a comeback but seems to come up short more times than not.
Hi @PAPPYDOG ...is this another one of your ghost accounts?

What? No. Just by watching the games you can see who are the elite passers. Dak isn't one of them. I don't need a statistic to tell me that. Dak is closer to Cousins than he is Joe Burrow.
