exactly makes ZERO sense.i said it earlier ill say it again

we are not desperate for a WR..we also didn't cut AC for low draft pics and 16mil in cap savings to give up higher draft ;picks and 12mil for 1yr guy who will want more money ..

fans have all these fantasy wants without taking real common sense and looking at the situation at hand. they have wr1 =Lamb, WR 2 = Gallup, wr3= Washington you draft a wr to be wr3 and or 4..

i rather bring in a multi tool vet TE..

I agree with you as well; but for whatever reason the Cowboys just wanted Cooper gone. They could have done what the Browns did and restructure his contract but chose not to. The Cowboys already tried to get Davante Parker so it's clear they want another receiver.

While the odds remain against Cooks coming here, I believe the reports that they are at least inquiring. While I like Lamb-Gallup as the top two I still have reservations about Washington and I also want to see some real deep speed here. Cooks brings that.

It's a catch 22. When we resign our guys they shut it down and never live up to their contract. At least when we sign a free agent they'll give great effort for at least half the season to prove they are still good. Who's the last great pick up we had - Charles Haley, Dieon?

We never hear that ANY other teams have "inquired" about so and so....this is NOTHING more than fodder for stupid Cowboy fans when they fail ....or even really try....to land said player. Obvious attempt to appear as if they aren't asleep at the wheel....ain't fooling me for a second!!!

Dunno on the S part.

They didn't prioritize it when the cupboard was bare.

Same logic behind not bringing Matthieu in now.

Passed on him more than once when it was a huge need.

If I knew for certain Kearse will keep it up, I'd almost call it a strength. Depth wise anyway.
I don’t know about that. I see a lot of JAGS on short term deals. Maybe I am wrong. Kearse flashed that’s for sure.

Aww man. I can't wait to see him traded for peanuts just for us to say we offered a 7th!!!

These are the moves I just dont understand. You have Cooper set at $20 million for this and the next two seasons. So you don't want Cooper at $20 per ... but are interested in Cooks a $16.2? So you trade Cooper for a 5th ... then you're desperate for another receiver. So you likely send a higher pick to pick up Cooks. He then will then want paid again?

I just don't get it

Just robbing Peter to pay Paul. This team is?

Lol and what is the Browns cap hit now for Amari? Around the same I believe. So the Cowboys could have restructured him and kept any pick they would give up. And Cooper is the better receiver. They do this type of trade it will be just another example of why the Jones boys trip over their own feet all the time.

Why don't people stop the nonsense, THEY DIDNT WANT COOPER ON THE TEAM.:(

he gives us deep speed we need. Highly productive

It's amazing how Cooper and Cooks have very simialr stats:

Cooper 7 years 517 receptions 7,076 yards 13.7 ypc 46 TDs
Cooks 8 years 573 receptions 7,917 yards 13.8 ypc 46 TDs

Instead of saying COOOOOP when a catch is made I guess we would say COOOOOK?

Btw, this isn't happening. Jerry and Stephen aren't going to part with their beloved cap space.

Certainly nothing wrong with feeling that way.

Strengths and needs have a funny way of being interchangeable quickly.

While I agree with you, it's worth noting the Cowboys now have $15 million of room. And on June 2nd they get the $10 million from cutting Collins; giving them $25 million of space. So if you want to look at it from the standpoint that Collins' money would go to Cooks, that's only a $2 million drop.

Look, I don't know the Cowboys plan. But there would be no reason to skimp in FA and let Cooper go if they were going to pay a 13 million cap hit on a WR. Wagner cost less and they didn't get him. I don't see it.

Yea I get they didn't want him but why tip your damn hand showing everyone?? The point is these morons fleeced themselves by giving away a better receiver to possibly overpay again and give up picks for a lessor one. THATS THE MADNESS!!!!!!!! Maybe don't let it out that you are looking to cut him.

We like pollard as a 3rd down back. It’s a 17 game season now if you think you don’t need 3 starting RBs at least your crazy. Or what was your point here? Last time I heard Pollard had a ligament tear under his foot. Are we supposed to like that?
My point is mist here hated zeke si much that they wanted Pollard to start. And again I agree we need more than 1. But apparently they come. Dime a dozen so we can just draft one and we will be fine according to most fans

Why can't we just do the smart thing and just spend good money on 1-2 top FA's that we don't have to check and recheck the CARFAX on three (3) times and then hold our breath??? Booger and Chuckles need to just take each other out....Reservoir Dogs finale style.

I was a RB/LB and there is a difference between good ones and average. No one would have drafted me in the 1st round and I like the Denver model of draft a 3rd round rb every other year. My model would add that you need to draft an OL as well because someone has to block.

They are doing the right thing and it's a proven formula. Just ask them.
