LOL hilarious, a thread of people that would have demeaned and HAVE demeaned Haskins, calling him trash and lazy. Now suddenly, when in death, we should pretend to be above this.

Who are you folks trying to impress?

I understand and feel for his family...but...it definitely changes things if it turns out to be true that Haskins loved to live on the edge. Seriously, what does one expect when someone decides to go jogging on a highway in a big city in Florida, especially this time of year?
The toxicology report I would like to see. I cant help but wonder.

Hold on. Full stop.

If what Mr. Gil Brandt said turns out to be true (the way Dwayne Haskins was always living on the edge or even getting run over and killed for jogging on a highway), how can anyone blame Mr. Brandt for saying what he said?

Kind of got to read the room.He literally just died and now is not the time to attack him IMO. Not only that but from what I’ve read it seems Haskins changed his life over the past few years.

because a person died and this comment right after someone’s passing regardless of their lifestyle is incredibly classless, lacks self awareness and totally callous

Whose fault is it? The brutal honest responder or the podcast questioner? Don't ask for something you can't handle.

Brandt is 89, why are they asking him anything?
“He was a guy that was living to be dead.”

That’s definitely out there. Only an 89 year old could get away with such.

NFL radio surely will make an apology.

Undoubtedly you guys do not no Gil Brandt. This is who he was, is, and will be. He is going to tell you about players especially players with high potential that because of their own doing stay at the high potential level.

You know what Parcells said about potential.

This is a tragedy, Gil Brandt said it is was a tragedy, and he told you why the tragedy occurred whether politically correct or not.

I am saddened the young man died. I use to call him the "Chosen One" as he wanted and knew he was going to be the QB at Ohio St. He fulfilled his dream, he had one of the greatest careers at Ohio St., and became a no.1 draft pick. He died with high potential.

Why should Gil get canceled? For stating the truth? Is that what society has turned into?
What is the truth here though? Are we going to pretend that Gil knows Haskins and how he’s been living? He would never disrespect Rayfield Wright and how he was at 21 so why is he doing that here?

I don’t think he should be cancelled. He’s sort of doing the job for everyone.
