Ticket prices for me up by 18.75% from last year. I hope to see some value for that increase, but won't be holding my breath. May trade those seats and all those travel expenses for a new boat.
Do like I do. I only pay to see the Dallas Cowboys. I got rid of my season tickets 1996. Every other game has been free tickets, and every Cowboy merchandise has been free or +70% clearance discount.

calm down bud. Its hard to have sympathy for a team when they already charge an huge amount. I guess I'll wait another 50 years 2 attend a Dallas game.
yo

its NOT sympathy

its called running a business.

Maybe that somehow gets lost upon you but a multi-billion dollar franchise is corporation ie huge fortune 500 type business regardless of the fact its family owned and the same as anything else they adjust prices as the operating costs go up..so again take emotions and the hate for jones family out of it..the OP is flat clueless because they see this as raise and its not its part of running a business

got it let me know when it sinks in.

Perhaps if you had even a clue of how random the application of Jerry's ticket $ hikes are, you would have a slight chance at articulating your mindless babble like a 5th grader instead of a 3rd grader. You're in over your head. Go back to the kiddie pool.

the kiddie pool is yours as well as needing helmet to get around without falling and hitting your head.

It would be nice if we had a profit cap for owners. Funny how the crab in a bucket mentality only pertains to players salaries. Owners go up on prices for greed and none of the fans here ever make any statements about that. I wonder why? I'm sure there's no bias involved. :)

You'll love this. When I called to inquire about the disparate rise in prices, I was told the now gerrymandered row of seats I have ownership in could reap the Cowboys way more in the secondary market than what we have been paying, so they decided close the gap. Can't make this ^%$# up.

I'm not going to spend any money on this trash organization until they can make it past the divisional round. This off-season has shown me more than ever before that Jerry doesn't care about making a legitimate push. He'd rather stay consistently mediocre than risk a down year. With a weak NFC and coming off a 12-5 season, there's no justification for not being aggressive and adding some real talent. Screw you Jerry!

I'll one up you. I won't spend a dime on this organization until Jerry is no longer GM and hires a real one. (or if he does Stephen hires a real one)

I have a point too. No one HAS to buy tickets.

just pointing out if you own a psl you essentially have to buy tickets. Until you are no longer a psl owner you are responsible for buying the tickets.

My psl is on the exchange and I am hoping someone out there buys it before may 1st

I got lucky and sold mine last year. Best thing I ever did.

if you don’t mind me asking did you sell it for the original face value or did you raise the price.

I am asking over the original price and it just won’t sell. I am only 2500 over the original price so it’s not like I am asking for a fortune.

it’s cool if you don’t want to say I get it.

Not just Jerry World, but across the board. As long as there are more people willing to purchase the tickets that the actual tickets being sold, the buyers will be forced to treat them as a high commodity. Thus, the NFL tickets are so expensive due to the popularity of the sport.

stay at home and keep your money, ( if you watch) set in front of the tv you buy your popcorn cheaper and your beer and your hot dogs and you won't have to worry about your parking. he's not worrying to much about winning. he's show that before the season so the only way your gonna show him he owns the dallas cowboys but not your hard earned money is simply don't buy into his hype

Frankly I don’t remember - it paid off the remaining debt and that’s all I cared about.

Excuse my ignorance, what’s a PSL?

If you want to be a season ticket holder you have to buy a Personal Seat License. Once you have a PSL every year by may 1st you have to pay for your tickets. This basically guarantees all games are sold out in may. All seats at the stadium are owned by PSL owners. This switch around pro sports to PSL's guarantees owners never have to do anything to sell tickets like the old days when teams would be bad for awhile and no one would go to the games to send a message. Think KC in 09.

The reality at AT&T stadium is a majority of the PSL owners are ticket brokers or businesses and a lot of them are in other cities or states. The stadium has very few real fans left and this market does not care at all. This is why there are so many visiting fans here and also why if you go to a game you will see people who are bandwagon fans who don't really know much about football or the team which then creates a really terrible atmosphere.

So in a nutshell, if you own a PSL you are obligated to buy the tickets by may 1st if you do not they can take the psl from you or various other penalties.

That sounds pretty scummy. But wouldn’t this be the same pretty much for every team, or is this somehow a Jerry-exclusive?

Why is Dallas being singled out as having a terrible atmosphere versus a stadium like, for example, Green Bay (which is usually a pretty solid home crowd)?

There seems to be some thinking here that success on the field has anything to do with ticket prices, merch or concessions.

The pricing is based on what they can get and if it becomes too easy and they do not get enough push back, the prices go up. The Cowboys have not struggled to sell tickets with the prices 18% lower and they know some will balk but most will not and attending home Cowboys games isn't about the winning. And this is not new, this was in effect back inn the 80's when I had season tickets. We were surrounded with people there because it was a Cowboys game. They win, great, they don't win, good game.

The DFW area is continuing to grow at a healthy rate and within an easy drive of Arlington are over 10M people. Think selling 80K tickets for the number one TV attraction in all sports is hard?

In most markets, people go to a NFL football game. In DFW, they go to ATT and there is a NFL football game being played. It is all about the entertainment.
