Gilmore has made his money. So, he can be be choosey. He isn't coming to Dallas barring a "setting the market" type contract. If all he can find are one year deals, he will go somewhere he thinks the team has a good chance to make a super bowl. Rams have a huge advantage over Dallas with these kinds of free agents.

Yes they do because they actually out themselves in this position over the last few years instead of being complacent with just being good enough.

If it wasn't for the Quinn hire those guys are never even looked at. Jerry is always cheap when it comes to FAs. Always looking for that 1 year 1 mil contract. I wish he would of gotten cheap with that choke QB Dak.

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while. Like how Parson fell into Jerrys lap. The thing is had I been the GM of Dallas I really wanted Kyle Shanahan to be the head coach but nope! Jerry stuck with Jason. Jerry was forced to find another coordinator because remember he hired Nolan at the advice of his marshmallow head coach.

Hope they get him, bravo to them. We’ll be over here still dreaming of a run defense and picking up the pieces of LVE off the field

He wouldn’t stuff the middle of the line and get a push. If we had a consistent pass rush and a DT to stuff the middle our secondary is fine. We had a descent pass rush although not sure about this year but no push in the middle..

The Rams have a problem and only one other team has that same problem and they're in LA as well.

They just won a home SB and they have to keep the heat turned up because the only way they keep those fans coming is to keep a contender on the field. There is not another market like LA and most of those people really don't care about having a home team, they already had a team. They also got all of the best matchups televised and watching the home team isn't so bad until they are forced into a rebuild. Then, LAR has a real problem. It wasn't lost on them that sea of red from San Francisco last season.

So, all in is the only way to go and to hell with the immediate future for youth. They're also in the best division in the NFC by far.

I think what most of us want to see is a front office trying to get better. Yes we have brown diggs lewis and a couple guys coming off rookie seasons but why should that stop you from trying to be better. Not all players get better every year, some are even busts. Would it hurt to reach out to a couple guys that could help the team? What if someone gets hurt and diggs, brown or Joseph needs to miss6 games? Is having depth at an important position bad? Hell maybe he wants too much money and you walk away and that's ok atleast you had the balls to have a conversation.

Lukewarm about Gilmore. We're in good shape at corner. My complaint is they haven't done a thing to help the o-line and only brought in James Washington at WR.

Gilmore would be a great addition but the Cowboys have Diggs, Brown, Lewis, and Joseph at the top four spots. I'd rather spend that money elsewhere, except this is the 2022 Cowboys and they would rather spend their money, uh, nowhere.

Here's why the Cowboys will never do what the Rams do.

The Cowboys value their draft picks WAYYYY too much. The Rams take advantage of teams that value draft pics WAYYYY too much.

The Rams know that they can trade their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or whatever pick for a proven Pro-Bowl level talent while the Cowboys hope they hit the lottery with their picks. The Rams use their draft picks to trade for players that have already proven to be good, while the Cowboys will use theirs to take a chance on Taco, LVE, Jaylon Smith, Trysten Hill, or Connor Williams.

When it comes to FA the Cowboys philosophy is once again completely different and loserish. They value their own talent WAYYYY too much and focus on resigning them each year. While the Rams will resign guys that have proven to be worth it and look for upgrade in FA for guys that are not cutting it.

If the Cowboys had drafted Jarred Goff and he lead us to a Super Bowl appearance as he did for the Rams he would be under one of the biggest contracts in NFL history right now. The Rams knew that he wasn't the guy and traded him away for a guy that is actually THAT guy. The Cowboys would have NEVER done that simply because Jerry would rather win with a guy he drafted so he can say he's right about something.
Outstanding post.

Great team win. No doubt.

Having said that, Stafford led the NFL by a large margin in 4th quarter production and late-game winning drives.
He actually went the entire year without a 4th quarter interception vs something like 15-16 TDs

I'm in the camp that thinks he would have already had multiple deep playoff runs and possibly SB wins if he was with a good organization

Doesn't matter now.
We can just judge him now on how is now doing with a good roster and how he will do going forward.

Even Rodgers and Wilson only have 1 SB win, so it's clearly not easy. And they have played on many good teams.

To be honest, the team other than Dallas that I'm really curious about this year is Denver.
Thats a great-looking roster on both sides of the ball, and now they have Wilson and a good OC
Agree about Denver.

Their problem is the division they play in.

NFC West football is gonna be some good stuff.
