Yes the odds of winning go up dramatically. But the odds of winning a championship doesn't. I can understand owners willing to sign mediocre to good QBs, because even though they probably won't win the Super Bowl, they stay relevant. Maybe be a consistent playoff team. That's enough for owners. What I can't understand are fans that have that same mentality.
I said good, you included mediocre....there's the disconnect. You give yourself the best chance to win with a good QB. It's not that difficult to understand. Drew Brees and Rodgers won one SB each so far during long and storied careers. There are no guarantees, but you have to play in January to have a chance.

The textbook rock and a hard place for AZ.

Murray is the star attraction on their team and they're in the same boat that DAL and CLE were, is he the guy? DAL said yes and CLE said no.

And what else is out there for AZ at QB? This draft doesn't have him and the trades are done. Think their fans are going to be happy and continue to show up without Murray on the field? The Cards are not the Cowboys, hell, the Cowboys used to be the more popular team.

But they've got a couple of twists in that this player can go play baseball, which I feel he should have done for self-preservation, and make a lot of money. He has a lot of leverage.

But the unique twist in this is that AZ hired their HC specifically for this QB, what do they do with him without Murray? Not a QB, this QB. Do they start looking at that less than impressive college coaching record and have to change QB and HC?

AZ is boxed in and they have little choice but to give him a Carr deal. And that drops Prescott to 8th. And I think all the wailers and teeth gnashers owe the ones that were telling you this was coming an apology. They hit this one pretty well on the head.

Ok. There's a mountain of difference between Dak, Brees, and Rodgers. A good QB is entirely different than Brees and Rodgers. They won one SB each in their entire careers and you speak of a good QB.

We paid Dak not to win a SB. We paid him to keep the team popular and sell merchandise. To make the playoffs and be talked about. Not to win a SB. If I were the owner I may like that too. As a fan, not into it.

He should come to AT&T and play for Jerry. He's undefeated there, unlike #4.
Hater! Roger wasn't undefeated in Dallas either....you probably hated on him too. Sickening that you think you're a fan! Lol!

Kid seems a bit too cocky. Has been to 1 playoff game, where he S'd the bed, and now he wants the Brink's truck backed up to his front door.

Yea I think the same thing. I also go back and forth on the idea of it doesn’t matter what position you play. You could base the pay on something like snap count or team wins. This is just for the rookie contracts because the whole thing is an anti trust violation without the nflpa agreeing to it.
well you cant use team wins, the players are playing whether they win or not. It would have to be snap counts, and starting, games played.
anti trust violation.....lol nfl is above the law !

This all started due to teams getting the shaft on high draft picks that were paid big and then a bust, but they expanded it and took it too far.

thats what they all want lol, or most of them.
That is why I like the usfl, these guys will be playing because they like it , and also it might get them into the nfl.

Every big star who asks for and gets the big contracts, are screwing all the other players, leaving less money for them.
Like dallas gave all the money to a few, and the rest are asked to take the lowball deals.

He's not terrible but he's also not special. Let him sit. And put the transition tag on him next year see if any team is willing to give up some picks for him. One of these days teams will stop overpaying every QB out of fear of not having one because after 4 years if you aren't 100% sure you have a franchise guy then you don't have one.

I want nothing to do with Kyler. He's ***** over numerous teams he's been on. His dad is a helicopter dad. Nope, not doing it.

Arizona would be smart to trade him, there is already bad blood between them.
Only if he is coveted by another team(s). If you were say the Dolphins or Titans would you give-up a huge amount of draft capital to get this guy. Right now I think Michael Vick was a better QB at the same point in his career as Murray.

I’m wondering if the Cardinals are completely sold on him. He was downright dreadful in the playoffs against the Rams. He’s very talented but low-key and doesn’t appear to have much leadership skills.

Murray doesn't have the correct toolset to be a franchise QB. He's proving that right now with his snit fit.

He has the physical skills to be a franchise QB but he’s lacking as a leader and his game has a tendency to go in the tank when things aren’t going well. His performance against the Rams in the playoffs got worse and worse as the game went on. He doesn’t have the greatest body language. He’s not able to bounce back from bad plays very well. When it starts going bad for him it can get ugly. He’s not very good at rallying his troops. That takes being a leader.

Murray has yet to have a 4000 yard season in his first three seasons and he hasn’t thrown for more than 26 TDs. He’s had triple digit INTs in each of his first three seasons. I really don’t think the Cardinals are totally sold on him. He’s obviously looking to join the 40+ million dollar club and I don’t believe the Cardinals want to pay that based on his numbers and a miserable playoff performance. He folded big-time against the Rams in the playoffs.
