Traded down to 47.

Picked up 10 players total.

In the meantime, I have Washington's 2023 1st round pick for their 47th pick this year. I select Kenyon Green.

Then I traded my 56th pick to SF, who selects Roger McCreary..I get 61 and 105 in return. I pick Troy Anderson with 61. I go back to offensive line in the 3rd and grab Abraham Lucas. I use 105 to grab Justyn Ross WR Clemson. At this point, I go with a pass rusher I happen to like at 129 and then at 155 draft Haskell Garrett to play next to him. I think both of these guys can contribute.

47) Kenyon Green OG Texas A&M
61) Troy Anderson LB Montana State
88) Abraham Lucas OT Washington State
105) Justin Ross WR Clemson
129) Jeffrey Gunter EDGE Coastal Carolina
155.) Haskell Garrett DT Ohio State
167) Lucas Krull TE Pittsburg
176) DeAngelo Malone EDGE Western Kentucky
178) Akayleb Evans CB Missouri
193) Obinna Eze OT TCU

Keep in mind, my goal is to draft a QB in the first round next year. That way, if he keeps up the way he plays, we're set for next year.

Meanwhile. I picked up some guys to help the team in spots of need, where I could. .All while bringing in the most talent possible.

I know I know.. Would Kenyon Green make it that far in the 2nd round.. It did. And the simulator actually made sense. That said, I think we're going to be OK as far as OL goes this year.. And I think we can do a good job building the Dline in this draft also.

I'll put some tape of all of the picks in here, so you can criticize. But we all know drafts are crazy and sometimes disappointing. It's not sexy, but I'd personally love a draft like this.

That is not a nice haul. Green at 47 is nice but after that, it kind of goes off the rails. Anderson at 61?

Yes, Kiper has him rated as a first round pick.

I know Kiper sucks, but I see enough there to grab him there. He fits in well with our scheme.

The only pick I would do over would be Justyn Ross.

I personally like Abraham Lucas a lot, by the way..On part with Collins' talent. Could go in the first round, some say..

Meh, it's an easy way to study scenarios that could pan out.

I realize it's a mock draft, etc. If you got those players, though, you traded away the next 10 years 1st round picks.

I guess that's one way to do it.

Devin Lloyd is a stud. Jermain Johnson, too.

You left out Jaquan Brisker, all those 1st rounders..

Most of those guys, aside maybe Zion Johnson, won't even make it to us.

Darian Kinnard looks like a good 2nd round RT, though.

The draft simulator let me make the trades to acquire all of those players...I'm King for a Day of all Mock Drafters...

I don't care about future picks...when I do this again next year the simulator won't hold me accountable for those future picks...

Now this seems more realistic. I really like Parham in that 3rd round range if we don't go OG in the first two rounds.

Elliss is a guy I'd love to see them throw a 5th rounder at. He's massive and has some upside. He's worth a flier in the 5th since we have a crap ton of them.

Rumor is that Anthony Hitchens wants to come back to the Cowboys this season.

So, Dallas can go in the draft with that in mind, knowing he can fill in for back up.

D'Angelo Malone is going to be an absolute stud in a couple years.
It all depends on where he goes.

He is so intriguing, has some special qualities.

But if the wrong team with the wrong ingorant staff takes him, he might not.

Again. Leave this draft without a good edge in this class you're a dumb team. And that's teams like Dallas who don't have 2 good edges. Not a team like Tampa

Curious..

How much did you give up? I try not to make every trade I can because I want it to be realistic. I can see the W-T-Fs trading up with us though.

We traded with the Giants to get Parsons, so we've shown we're willing to trade within the division.

Yeah I feel like that right there what you said is maybe the most under rated statement of the whole draft process.
The lottery of the draft is not only for the NFL teams but maybe more importantly a lottery for these kids too , if they end up with a poor staff they lose big time.

Yep, Malone seems like a 3rd day guy that could be a stud in year 2 or 3. You want to hit on a few like him. What do guys think about Penn State's other LB that is in this year's draft? Would he be worth bringing in around the 5th? Brugler has him as a 5th or 6th round guy.

If they make Parsons better, bring Smith or Luketa aboard.
