Everybody looks out for themselves, not just athletes. But if that's all anyone ever did, the word gratitude wouldn't exist.

Maybe there's more to it, I don't know. I'm not upset that he's off the team, so I probably shouldn't have said anything.

No, you're entitled to your opinion. And I agree that people should have gratitude and loyalty.

I guess I'm overreacting to the perception that the clubs/owners are seen as the altruistic ones, but the players are portrayed as selfish whenever they look out for themselves. I see this perception echoed throughout social media.

I didn't mean to come off attacking you. Your sentiments are valid. I just think Jerry knew he had as much to gain from drafting Gregory as Gregory had to gain by accepting the Broncos offer and the Joneses trying to "manipulate Gregory" with the loyalty card.

I did not take it personally. Probably because I think the owners are greedy as well. Maybe not to the point of MLB trash, but they do their best. I was just looking at it from a players perspective.

Thank you Russell Wilson for hauling our trash away.

The guy averages six sacks a year and he makes national news with his signing? And did he actually say he needs support and people wanting him there? What did he get the last 7 years?

This is not going to end well for either side.

No he averages 2.5 sacks a year in his career.

Why did he OWE the Cowboys anything?

Jerry chose him because of his talent. Let's stop all this "Good Will Hunting" preening.

Randy Gregory didn't want the language in his contract that he could lose his guarantee money because of a fine. Dallas wanted it in.

If Dallas wanted him, it could have taken it out just like Denver did.

Now Gregory is a Bronco.

This has nothing to do with loyalty and more to do with talent and getting the best deal one can.

It's business, not personal. Or isn't that what they tell the peons?
Gregory owed the Cowboys...BIG TIME.

Did Russell spend 6 years supporting him through his many problems and suspensions? Did Russell give him a spot in the NFL despite all those suspensions? If a few phone calls convinced Gregory to go to Denver when Jerry spent all those years standing by him then Gregory is not a good person. But the truth is those calls from Wilson had nothing to do with Gregory's decision. The decision was made when the Colorado state legislature legalized pot.

I believe because you said it!!!

Poorly because of a broken finger on his throwing hand. Is that not accurate?
What happened the last 8 games of 2020 where Wilson played very poorly?

Wilson's play has always been spotty. Most likely due to having to make up for his lack of height. Not his fault mentally or anything, simple physics. Can't see the field well enough.

That is accurate.

Gregory had the chance to play in Texas or Colorado and people are surprised he chose Colorado.

Good luck trying to get a full season out of him there
