Kyler is a huge upgrade over Dak . But not sure if he fits the cowboys scheme and available parts . Plus our FO gave Dak so much guaranteed money and a No Trade clause . So we cannot even trade Dak .

I think you overestimate Dak's leadership. A leader doesn't endorse violence on refs or talk bad about the fans calling them "bandwagon" when he doesn't play well.

Kyler and Dak both aren't good leaders.

I don't want Kyler, but not because I believe Dak is better (He's not), but because I wouldn't want us paying an even worse contract for a QB that, like Dak, needs a lot help, not as much help, but still needs a lot that our FO isn't smart enough to provide.
I honestly don't understand where people get that idea from. Players? What do you expect them to say?

When I see Dak get in a players face and chew their axe hard....I'll take notice. Buying new Nikes doesn't cut it for me.

I have no idea where they see it either.

I guess because none of his teammates have came out and said anything bad, but when does that ever happen unless a QB/player is no longer on the team or that QB is just controversial? I mean, players didn't even really start saying anything bad about Urban Myer until he was gone and everyone knew what was going there.

A lot of these people either didn't watch or have forgotten what Troy Aikman was about. There's videos of him on YouTube on the sidelines getting in everyone, including the coaches, faces when they aren't playing up to snuff. All I've ever seen from Dak is him sitting off by himself sulking. Aikman was a real leader and something this team is missing.

P.S. You brought up the free Nikes he gave to everyone. Remember after the playoff game when the by far highest paid player on the team (Dak) sent a bucket around for everyone to pitch in $500 to say the stadium workers? Yes, Dak makes well over 40 million a year, but expects Rico Dowdle to chip in when he's just trying to stay employed.

Murray’s mechanics are light years better than Dak and he’s better on his feet by far. That being said, he’s also a midget in QB terms, 5’ 11”.

Nope…

He's nowhere near 5'11. The dude is not an inch taller than 5'8.

Is he more talented than Dak? Easily.

Is he worth a contract better than Dak's? Yes, because the market says so, but let another team make that mistake. Because he will not be worth the contract he gets just like Dak isn't.

I agree on one part. I would take Murray over Dak, no doubt but to say Dak hasn't earned his contract is a lie. According to the market, his winning percentage and his numbers, he has. Current and former players, and GMs have publicly said Dak has earned his money for those very reasons.

So I tend to trust my eyes and the words and observations of professionals who are paid to play, coach, and scout players in professional football.

I understand how the market works, but I'm not paying Dak Prescott just because the market says it's his turn to get paid.

I'm ESPECIALLY not paying any QB based off "winning percentage" as that is a team thing. I'm looking at their personal performance and not using something team based like W/L. I'm looking at how they play against good competition and not the Eagles practice squad. I'm looking at how they play when things aren't working perfectly. I'm seeing how they handle having to put the team on their back. I'm looking at how they play in clutch moments. I'm not just looking at end of the year stats because that can be VERY deceiving. Dak and Kirk Cousins are perfect examples of that, imo.

I'm doing what the Browns are doing with Mayfield. It's Bakers turn to get paid, but they got an actual real QB instead, and they're going to get rid of Baker. Let someone else pay Baker money he isn't worth.

That's what I would have done with Dak if I'm the Cowboys and that's what I'd do with Murray if I'm the Cardinals.

But they are also looking at the games vs good teams that Dak put us in a position to beat but the defense gave up 200 yards on the ground or 500 yards in the air with 5 tds. They are also looking at Dak making big plays vs good teams only to have them called back by holding calls and illegal formation calls.

With that said, it IS a team game just like you've mentioned. Losing to good teams wasn't solely on Dak. Our whole TEAM loss to good teams. Now ask how we looked when Dak missed 11 games.... there was a HUGE drop off. Dak earned his contract, now he has a to get better to prove he can justify and earn another one.

There was a huge drop off in 2020 when Dak got hurt, but we were 1-3 WITH Dak.

So it's not like Dak was leading us to wins either. So, the drop off wasn't as bad as it may seem in terms of team success. Andy Dalton lead us to wins at a higher pace than Dak was doing before the injury.

Last year, when we had a defense things were different when Dak missed a game. Cooper Rush threw for 330 yards and 2 TDs leading us a win against the Vikings at their place. It was also the only game we won last year without 100 yards rushing. Dak is better than Cooper Rush, yes, but if Cooper Rush can lead us to a win without 100 yards of rushing support then a 40+ million a year QB should be able to also.

And seeing the field due to height issues. Great talent, wasted at QB.

He’s about to get 40 mill a season so we will have to disagree on that one. Of course your right about height and pocket issues. But he’s still easily a top 10 QB and he’s 24. He played great against our defence last year. I think unless your name is Brady or Mahomes you get overly criticized these days…

Top 10? No.

In no particular order:

Rodgers
Stafford
Carr
Mahomes
Allen
Herbert
Burrow
Watson
Wilson
Tannehill

Matt Ryan is a better QB than Murray.

Brady if he plays is another, and there's no clear "better" among he and Prescott and Cousins and Garrapolo.

You guys who think Murray is sooooooooooooo much better need to start watching complete Cardinal games the way you do Cowboys games. IF Murray is better, and that's a huge IF, it's by a microhair. The Cards have(prolly had w/ their offseason losses) a very nice D and a complete team. Murray is just OK as a QB, and frankly I think Dak is better.

Cards were 2-1 w/ Murray out last season.

The fact that it can be considered a toss up between Murray and Dak should really tell you all you need to know about them.

If the Cardinals are smart they won't make the same mistake the Cowboys did and tie themselves to a completely average QB that needs a lot of help to be successful for more money than he's worth. If I'm the Cardinals owner I let someone else pay market value for Murray if they want too.

The Browns did it the smart way. Jerry would've made Baker a top 5 paid QB.

Cowboys were 1-0 with Prescott out. Higher winning percentage…..sorry, couldn’t resist.:D
