The 16th ranking may prompt Jones into dropping Rosenthal from his Christmas gift list, but he can hop on mine. The perfect criticism directed at someone, who has taken full advantage of his narcissistic authority for over a quarter century.

NFL.com content is a source of conversation that is highly unlikely to be ignored by any NFL executive, much less Jerral Wayne Jones. Why don't more folks, with any degree of connection to the league, publish similar critiques on a regular basis?

So it’s Jerry’s fault the team sucks. But when a list does not have him near the bottom or at the bottom. It is someone’s else’s reason he is ranked higher.
If we’re just average drafting, average at coaching, and less than average in free agency, HOW do we become “one of the league’s most talented rosters”? Or is that just to sell the “massive underachiever” narrative? I’m not saying we’re NOT a disappointment in several areas—just pointing out you can’t have it both ways.

I would say our great drafting has covered over the other flaws.
But the flaws are there and limit the success this team can have, especially in the postseason.

How is he not at best in the bottom 5? How many GM's would be in the same job for 25 years and not even make it to at least one conference title game? Even the worst of the worst fluke things sometimes.

I thought he was the worst one.....I heard it hear, so it must be true.
Comes down to what you are analyzing. Jerry does not do his job as GM, and has publicly admitted as such. That is a terrible GM. While we may get it right at times, if you look at the big pic, how many GM's have been employed by the same team w/ very little success for a long time frame? Over the long haul, he is the worst.

And that’s the bottomline. Well said K!

Yes, Jethro has fared better than some who should be really ashamed with a more normal front office but at least those teams have an opportunity of finally hiring the right or better GM.

We are stuck in a perpetual funk and toxic culture that does just enough to promote hype and hope to sell the iconic brand.

Some of you are hilarious. Seriously celebrating the buffoon that owns and runs this team working his way up to supposedly being average after 30 years on the job. Bravo.

Have always preferred Jerry owner get rid of Jerry GM
Jerry the owner has established a culture of business first, ratings second and football third. Jerry the GM is middle of the pack with an average rating. To me the owner and the GM need to get on the same page a prioritize winning championships.

And the drafting is primarily Will McClay.

Well.....It's more committee than anything. I'm sure McClay hijacks my draft board.....compares his work to mine....and corrects his board.

Then he gets overridden by the drunken bitcoin fool....and son. You can't win them all Will.

Makes sense. Cowboys have been middle of the road mediocre for a quarter century . 29 out of 32 NFL teams have more playoff victories in that time span.

Yeah, that's BS b/c Jerry is GM in title only. He doesn't do the work of a GM researching and scouting players. I bet he couldn't name the first team offense or defense of any other team in the league.

We are all just on a message board so I know nothing about you. I don't know how far you go as a fan.
What have you seen from the Cowboy over the past 26 years that makes you think we are anything but average at best? It's this Stockholm syndrome the teams fans have is mind boggling. This organization is supposed to try and win SB's not be about the glitz and hoopla. All that is important but there is a tradition of winning that matters.
Jerry has ruined this franchise from the top all the way to the roots. Trying to compete for a SB is not even on his top ten to do list. He doesn't care, until the media and fans call his hand he will never change.
