Is it me or does it seem as if the intro Cowboys players showcased shows more of Tony Pollard running the football than Zeke Elliott?

Is this possibly a sign of the passing (running) of the football, and does this hint towards a departure from Zeke in the future?

What say you?

I thought a popcorn post was one that led to a contentious debate? I would think we have near consensus on wanting to use Pollard more and that Zeke will be cut and the first opportunity (2023, be it before June or a post-June).

Zeke can be used, in 2022, as an up the middle RB that keeps the defense honest and earns us the right for Pollard to run patterns on the outside lanes....but that's it, he just doesnt justify the CAP hit.

Zeke's guarantees and Pollard's contract end after this season. So if Dallas wanted to move from Zeke to Pollard, next off season would be the time to do that.

The cowboys media dept has ZERO clue of coaches intentions. Thinking that offers a clue is just looking for something.

I doubt we spend money on Pollard, we've already got burnt on Zeke and as its a position relatively easy to draft on the cheap.

I doubt it's a matter of playing either/or, both have different styles, it's more up the Moore to vary the calls.

Yes, Pollard was in a video's intro more so that def. means a departure from Zeke.

My goodness...

#4 overall pick in 2016.

Hardly shown at all in a 2022 Cowboys show intro.

Very telling, but some don't get it. Congrats. You win.
Here's a little excerpt from a Yahoo article regarding the 2021 hype video that was actually put out by the Dallas Cowboys and not some talking heads:

"The Cowboys hype video, with the header “Next season starts now,” does not feature Dak Prescott.

There’s no possible way this is an accident. In the video they feature their other main offensive weapons: running back Ezekiel Elliott, as well as receivers Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamd and Michael Gallup

Heck, even Troy Aikman makes an appearance! But no Dak."

Did you believe we were going to go with Cooper Rush instead? Did you believe Aikman was coming back for one more run?

I don't think they are going to pay Pollard, but if they do, it won't be much. But if they do pay him his value, they need to do it before next offseason. I don't know why Jerry insists on waiting until the entire rookie deal is done. All it does is make the cap hits higher if they choose to sign him.

Here is a little common sense...

Cowboys very likely were not sure Dak would be healed (leg) in time to start the season or even be able to play at all after such a gruesome injury to his right lower leg in 2020.

As for Zeke, he is fully healthy.

Your "common sense" about the Cowboys not knowing if he would play as a reason for Dak not being in the video is completely false.

I knew where you'd try to go with it, so that's why I held off on providing the real reason for him being left out. I just wanted you to post some clueless, emotional, completely wrong responds before I posted the real reason so I could embarrass you a little with your lack of knowledge about this. Google is your friend. Look things up before you speak on them, kiddo.

Remember this if you remember nothing else..... I'm always a few steps ahead of you. If you see my name, make sure you have your facts straight before you hit reply.

We should have moved on from Zeke....IMO. it's time. And maybe we will....I'm drafting a RB for sure that can pair with Pollard.

Nothing special about Zeke's 3 yards dives.

This. I work out at Cowboys Fit. I remember them putting up a massive mural of Dez Bryant on the wall above the stairs literally the week they cut him. It was taken down within a month.

I got no idea.
I hope Coach Mac gets more involved in the offense as that's his forte.
Our offense really took a step back towards the end of the season.

First of all, I'm pretty sure I'm older and way much smarter than you. Plus, I've been there and done that...very well...when it comes to football. Lastly, you're a freaking joke and a drama queen who seeks attention. It's funny because over recent years, the Cowboys have done pretty much as I've predicted they would do. That comes from years of successful experience on the football field, in business and lots of education, not by living on CZ 24/7 and acting like a pompous tool.

Your emotional responds means nothing to me.

Remember. I'm always two steps ahead, kiddo.
