He's your owner....you're still a fan of HIS team....that makes you part of the problem....a real man wouldn't support a team owned and run by a person that he dislikes.....
I really thought with your background you’d be more astute in all of this. Surely you had fans as a coach who didn’t like how you coached or the results you had but still rooted for their home town to win.

But If you want to be a cheerleader , go right ahead. But I’d prefer to be a analyst and critic in the booth.

There’s no business you patronize which you don’t approve of how their owner runs the business?

What's sad is that you still support his team....you hate him and you keep coming back for more...lol!
That’s my issue to deal with . I have hated how my Alma Mater has been run for most of my life too but I still cheer them on.

If you think you’re going to try and intimidate critics of this owner and team you not only have met the resistance but you could be bordering on breaking the rules here as we are allowed to critique the Cowboys without taking on personal insults .

If that’s the fine line you want to travel , go ahead. I’ve been down this path before with others. It won’t end as well as you might think.

I never listened to the noise, just did my job....one guy called me out after a game that we won by over 60 points....I put him in his place and the entire stadium laughed at him as he was escorted out. Some people just like to complain....the never get their way, but the love to hear themselves complain......you know the type

If JJ had not hired the other JJ as both coach and de facto GM, he would have as many SBs as all other teams with zero SBs. The teams where has served as actual GM have never even reached an NFC championship game.

Sounds like you probably didn’t take criticism too well when you were coaching. And why aren’t you coaching any longer?
I was a HC for 14 years....I retired when my mom died, to take care of my dad.....I didn't take criticism well, luckily I won more often than not and didn't have to deal with it very often.

It’s not like we haven’t had anything to complain about which even you have agreed on.Sounds like the basic difference is you have tired of calling it out while others continue.

Surely you are aware that while the Cowboys remain the most loved sports franchise , our owner remains the most hated sports personality. It’s a love/ hate relationship. Is that something you don’t understand?

I thought we’d had this discussion before but I’ve had it so many times perhaps it was someone else ?

Most likely, he would have gone the same route that Bright did when he had to sell the team. It was bleeding when he took over the team and he had to turn it fast.

The quick turnaround, Johnson's team winning 3 out of 4 sealed our doom as hostages of our favorite team.

I do my best to divorce ownership and management from my favorite teams as they really aren't part of it. However, this owner has made himself the face of the franchise, In his mind, he is the Cowboys and they are nothing without him.

When I became a Cowboys fan, I didn't know squat about Murchison and that was fine by me. Cuban drove me off the Mavs but I was giving up basketball anyway.

For me, it's kind of like Miramax films, owned by the Weinstein brothers. I can't stand that lowlife, bit I still like the films they produced.

Jerry is 16th. Right in that sweet spot of positively average.

The writeup is pretty spot on. They draft fairly well but it's just about every other aspect of team building that they aren't all that good.

actually Jerry is then pretty bad. they ranked only 22, with some being too new to be judged. so he is in the bottom 3rd of the GMs....I bet some of the teams below his ranking will get rid of their GMs and hire new ones...us on the other hand...

That's out of 22 so really the bottom of the list not even average and unemployed if he worked for any other team. 27 years GM and he's 16th out of 22 and fans wonder why the lack of success.
