If Cooper is elite , why was his productivity limited and finished second to Cee Dee consistently?

I’m still confused why we gave him away.

There’s gotta be some juicy off the field drama we aren’t privy to. None of the football related reasons make sense to me.

(Yes I know he didn’t get vaxxed but having a hard time believing that was enough for the Cowboys to make such an irrational move.)

they won’t pay a 60+ catch WR 20 million in base.

See this is what I’m talking about. This reasoning makes no sense.

If they told us we really need a new tackle or pass rusher. We had to let Coop go so we can pay so and so. Cool.

It’s like if I have a Porsche and need to sell it because the kid needs to go to private school or wife wants a kitchen remodel. That makes sense. I don’t pay $100k for the Porsche and then turn around and sell it for $25k if I don’t desperately need the money for something else.

Oh I didnt think it was worth $100k anymore is not a rational reason to give it away.

LOL...we'll see...not optimistic. You've always underappreciated Coop because he wasn't a chest-thumper. All that matters is the end result. I am not on the same page on this one...BUT. The Draft...where Little Enos isn't as important.

It’s the salary and the cost I never liked. Then I also know how good lamb is. Can’t keep both.

No reason for there to be hate for Cooper. Good player, good guy.

Coop isn't here not coz his contract but CeeDee. His contract extension is around the corner, they need to know if he can be the guy. Kinda hard if you'll worry about feeding an elite WR like Coop.

Cowboys released him due to salary cap space. The Jones' can talk all they want about Cooper not stepping up in the playoffs last season. But they aren't fooling anyone in releasing him due to being tightly pressed against the NFL's salary cap.

saying moving on from Coop was a good move does not have to be hate, not liking how it went down does not mean your against the move. Coop not beating Lamb's production doesn't have to be because of Dak nor does it mean Coop will not be good another team.....Again Chemistry is real as is a gamplan and no matter how much you guys want to discredit it the OC DOES MATTER...you dont pay top dollar for the 2nd WR in your offense....for some its wierd to hear you actually list out all the holes we have but then begrudge the move that frees up the top money contract the 2nd WR on the team was getting (yes you may not consider him the 2nd WR but it really doesnt matter what you see What matters is what actually happened in this OC's offense). So if your keeping this OC and this QB then why would you pay that WR 20 mill while you have #88 and holes that need money elswhere on the team?

Yes I was a fan of Amari Cooper, however, he was a no show on the road and that certainly won't be missed.

By contrast, Cleveland:

Have to respect those Midwest fans from Green Bay all the way to to St Louey. Hardcore.

Cold, ugly and flat. And I’m referring to more than just the landscape.

Hard to blame any single young millionaire would rather play in Texas, Florida or even over-priced and over-regulated California.

This was never one to get all emotional about.
We should have all seen it coming.
DAL stepped up and paid Coop a ton but immediately let him earn those base salaries to avoid any massive penalties for release when his GTD cash was off the books.
DAL could reasonably feel CeeDee was ready for more targets and that thye can draft WRs well.
Coop could certainly feel he wants more GTD money and targets.
Both sides were tipping their hand a lot of last year.

There isn't just one side or the other. There's plenty of room in between.

This a game of physical and mental skill. It's also a very emotional game. It's not chess. "Act like you been here before" by being engaged with your team mates.
That does not make the sports reports. No one is looking for you talking about route setups when they pan the sideline.

You are right we do not see everything on TV coverage. But that isn't really what I am talking about. I do not expect him to do flips and cartwheels on td's. Just a bit more "enthusiasm".

End of the day, he is the player he is...but even emmitt showed some flash and camaraderie that inspired his team mates. Sometimes Coop looks like he'd rather take a nap.

Got it you would rather him show something just not too much in your opinion....
